I don't think we'll ever do this again (shutdowns and such) unless people are dying in the streets like something out of medieval Europe during the black plague. If it hadn't been for the 2020 election, we would not have most of what we've done. The politicians are going to keep up the charade a little longer because they see an end in sight with the vaccine and they don't want to have to admit that this was a huge overreaction.

The MMR has been around for decades. It still has side
effects but it has been refined. This new vax has been rushed thru. I am not gonna be a test dummy for a vax that the survival rate is 99.98% for my age range. You go right ahead and get your shot mr guinea pig.

They're not issuing vaccine cards in Tennessee. I listened to an interview of our state health commissioner last night and she straight up said that is not happening in Tennessee.

If some businesses and other countries or even US states require the vaccine you'll need something. Appear on your passport when scanned? A letter or card would be helpful.

Nurse friend of ours works in an ICU. SW Virginia is a 'hotbed' according to our governor, and their ICU traffic has increased a lot- but from drug overdoses and reactions, not COVID.

Hard pass on the vaccine. I've never taken a flu shot, nor did I opt for yellow fever or Japanese encephalitis vaccines, etc. etc. when traveling. I'm a mostly fit 31-year-old, why treat or pre-treat something that's likely not to kill me anyway?

Also considering she has been a nurse for a few years and has never seen it this bad, and said she is "shocked" at the number of people from "normal families" she was seeing for those things, I'll ask you to try again on whatever you're trying to prove.

My company has work in Africa, so I'll likely end up going to work there on projects as well. Although I don't know if that's recommended for Botswana, where we do most of our work.

Not trying to prove anything. Just interested. I've been to every continent except Antarctica. Primarily Argentina and Chili in S America. I did get the recommended inoculations for Africa. Haven't been to India.
It's been cold in Nashville off and on for a few weeks now. Homeless people will use the ER as a shelter. I did witness a lot of ODs in the ER last January. Mostly teenagers. It was sad. The number of cops needed to bring those folks in and babysit them was shocking.

If you have covid, you will have a temp; otherwise these Med pros would be taking unnecessary risks with Liability too.

Yep, I wear my mask. But that little non airtight flimsy mask isn't stopping that "Highly Infectious spray down the streets don't touch your face" covid . The Scarlet Pearl Casino makes you get in line for temp taking. No temp and you are free to wander around a packed house; with masks in a relaxed enforcement environment. Some people understand the Fear Mongering; and NO---they don't issue a waiver of responsibility. The entire protocol should have been about protecting the Immune Compromised and keeping this Country open. The Exact Opposite was done; and it was/is Agenda driven. In NY, Washington State, Michigan and Illinois ; People With the Virus were sent into Nursing Homes. Fact. Dig into that on some unbiased platform. (Not compromised Google)

As of this morning I have one niece in a covid ward, she is scheduled for her covid vaccine Dec 28th and the inlaws of a second niece both in ICU with covid.

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully she will recover , and be able to get a vaccine. The in laws sound even worse.
We've had several family members with Covid. Mostly medical jobs. nurse; Dr, his wife and a child; physical therapist working in Dr office; social worker and construction contractor. It's a nasty virus.
