One of Florida's top defensive linemen has not attended any camps this summer but that has not stopped the college recruiters from taking notice.

"I think I am going to the LSU and Auburn camps later this month, but I am not sure yet," added Corey Gaines "I have been offered so far by Arkansas, Auburn, Colorado, Iowa State, Ole Miss, and South Florida. Central Florida, Tennessee, and Rutgers are my latest scholarship offers. They offered me this summer."

The only think I don't like about him is the fact he's 6' or maybe even less. I wouldn't get mad if he came though.

Rex, What's the latest word on him? It doesn't seem like we have any big time competition according to his list on Rivals. Thanks.

"He's going to Ole Miss, Arkansas and Auburn," said McFarlane. "Those are his three right now."

Gaines spoke with Auburn coach Jay Boulware last week. Boulware is expected to make an in-school visit with Gaines soon.

"I talked to my folks the other night and they told me 'before you make a decision visit all the schools you're interested in,' so I'm still going to take my Ole Miss visit," he said.

Gaines does have a clear cut favorite in Arkansas, however.

"They're still number one," he said. "I would say what separates them is the atmosphere and the business school. First of all, I didn't even know Sam Walton, the guy who started Wal-Mart, was from Arkansas. I was kind of shocked by that. Plus, if I go to Arkansas and I graduate I can get any kind of job I want in Arkansas because Wal-Mart has their headquarters there, Kraft Foods and a lot of other businesses have their headquarters there, Tyson Chicken. That's kind of crazy. There's money to be made in Arkansas."

Pretty much says that his leader is Arkansas. Sounds like that's where he ends up. It's a fellow SEC school. Rex is just keeping us updated on where guys we have been considering or have considered us are going to end up.

Who wouldn't want to go to play for Arkansas?

I mean he really has a good point: Sam Walton is from there - you can easily get a job at Walmart after your eligibility is used up - and if they're not hiring there's always Kraft and Tyson chicken. I'd be stoked due to that fact that Walmart has its HEADQUARTERS there. Great recruiting tool - I'm surprised they aren't loaded on 5-stars by now.
