Lord I remember going to a Charlie Daniels Band concert with my Dad back in the day and ole Conway opened up for them........When he sang the opening to hello darling all these older women in the audience started throwing roses on the stage.
Back in the day BEFORE your back in the day, I saw Charlie Daniels, with Grinder's Switch and Wet Willie. That was before1980 when he was considered more of a Southern Rock icon. Then he started being more identified with country.
