The problem was schematic not talent and that problem has been fixed.

To your point waaaaay too many 3 n' outs late in the game with a win on the line. It's a team sport, lots of folks don't understand it.

You are basing that more on wishes than facts. This defense has done nothing to show they have talent to be at that level. 47th in Passing yards allowed, 45th in rushing defense and they were absolutely torched by passing offenses like Bowling Green, Florida (esp 4th qtr), Oklahoma (2nd half), and UGA. Also, struggled somewhat vs South Carolina (24 pts) and Vandy (28 pts) who had terrible offenses.

The defense should be improved but it has not shown the ability to win a game by making big stops late nor has it been proficient against potent passing offenses.

I agree. Just hoping and praying for big improvements.
