He's no Maurer in the run department, that's for sure. But he's shifty and quick. He's no statue like Bray was.



Without the constant choking at inopportune moments, though. He's a much better passer than Ainge at that stage, and seems to have a much calmer, cooler way about him. Think Clausen's cool with a better arm.

I watched the videos of his 7th grade games and was impressed...... but I'm easy.

What are the new rules again? He can play four games without burning his redshirt correct? I would definitely take that into consideration if he does not win the starting job his freshman year. No way I let him play in a 5th game.
If he's as good as advertised he'll only be here 3 years. High expectations for sure.

To answer my own question I did some research. Under the new redshirt rules he can play any four games scattered throughout the season and not burn the redshirt. That is great! Give the kid some experience. If he is as good as we all hope he is then burn the redshirt and get as much playing time as possible before he leaves for the draft after his junior year.
