Congrats to the big guy!!

Gotta be a blow to our uga lurkers. Despite the best efforts of uga knee-hunting chop blockers, Shy still succeeded. Better luck next time intentionally targeting knees!!

Curious to know whatever happen to what's his name the bulldog chop blocking lineman ? Playing pro ball or selling boiled peanuts in his home state ?

I actually heard him on one of those Sirius radio sports shows. I was tempted to call in with some off topic remarks, but thought better of it.

You’re right, but if healthy I think Shy would have been good enough to rise above Butchs staff and become a star any way. He was that talented.

Correct, no Vols drafted after the last two seasons. That drought will end with the draft this April.

Edit: 3 Vols drafted after 2017 season.. Gaulden, John Kelly, and K McKenzie

GOD Blessed him with amazing talent. So glad he has been able to overcome the injury [cheap shot block] and can realize the fruit of his gifts. Sure would of liked to see both he and Kyle with this staff one more year and healthier.

UDFA’s have shorter rookie QB’s sinc they’re more likely to be released iirc. Think that’s why Arian Foster was in line for big money shortly after he proved himself.

That stiff arm he delivered to Matt Ryan (shown in the linked article) was awesome. I'm glad he is having success at the next level.
