I just wanted to say congrats to my UT friends here on your new football coach.

He has the experience, and the morals to be a great coach at UT. I know it sucks to have Lame do what he did, but man I really believe UT is way better off with him gone.

There are some schools that bring honor and tradition to college football and UT is one of them. Lane was taking you down the opposite road and now you got a humble guy who will get the job done. Hearing the presser he really is happy to be a Vol and he has great respect for the traditions of your university.

Even the greatest of coaches had the most humble of beginnings. This is his shot and I think he will do great. I hope he does except when you play us! HA!

Rivalry aside, congrats and welcome back! :rock:

Thanks, I have friends and family who are huge Vol fans and I am happy for them. Some may not know it now, but man did you dodge a bigger bullet than you already took.

We had a great time tonight looking through the make fun of kiffin thread! LOL!

Everyone I hear, other than UT fans, are saying its a great hire and we'll be glad we did it down the road. Of course I hope we actually give him the time that is actually needed to finish the rebuilding years before cutting him loose. I am going to be open minded and give the guy a chance, looking forward to spring practice.

Us BAMA fans can feel your pain. It's about the SEC right now! I hope USC losses every game from here till he leaves.

I hope he works out well for us. The fact that Saban thinks so highly of him is certainly encouraging.

I must say that I am glad to have a coach who wants to let his team's play on the field do his talking for him. I never liked Steve Spurrier, and it bothered me to have a Spurrier wannabe running our program.

Congratulations on Bama's national championship, and I look forward to another good game in October.

That means a lot coming from the home of the NC team. We really do love and support all you guys - except when we play you. And if anyone disrespects our SEC brothers we, too, will rush to their defense.

yeah now that all the great recruiting is gone,im sure bama is happy.We where on the way back,and got F'ed.The SEC was scared,now we are a laughing stock!I hate the one who will not be named for what he did,but if anyone thinks we are better off now,,,well I guess they don't like winning.

No actually the BAMA fans I have spoken with think you were on your way to NCAA sanctions and now your going to be better off. I didn't think you were on your way back. Now I do. You have something now that Kiffin couldn't bring to UT...RESPECT!

I hate being a woman sometimes....makes me feel all mushy reading this! I hope his whole world crumbles and Layla finds out his affairs. Then, I hope she leaves him for Tebow!

Apparently opposing fans hated Kiffin much more than Tennessee. I honestly expected trolls from rival SEC schools to brag, and gloat. But I just read another post from a rival fan that is sympathetic and encouraging. I appreciate it, I really do. I just don't quite know how to take it. Can't say I showed this much class when Bama was wondering the desert.

I agree totally! I mean, Coach Dooley hasn't won a single game for us yet. He must be a looser. (Sarcasm if it wasn't thick enough)
