If you haven’t checked out this podcast you are missing out. Conan is totally in his element. Great list of interviews including Bob Newhart, Marty Short and Will Ferrell.

As Conan’s late night show has slipped into obscurity, he has done a good job of staying relevant with online skits and this podcast

Also in pivoting his show into shorter episodes with longer-form, single interviews. Instead of going for Conan fans and people flipping channels at night, it's more about getting the fans of that one celebrity to tune in, which is a smart tactic. Late night shows' days seem numbered. I used to love Letterman and Conan. I haven't watched more than 2 minutes of any of these types of shows in years.

Conan’s Without Borders Shows are great. Especially the ones with Jordan Schlansky.

Which is why this is so good. It is completely different than his late night. He did a multi show segment (deep dive) with Dana Carvey that was out of this world.

The only relevance this has to his late night show is that it has filled his pipeline of quality guest.

I will second this. I've listened to quite a few of his podcasts. The Martin Short and Bob Newhart interviews have been my favorite and I am not that big of a fan of Martin Short. I also liked the series Conan did on his website a few years ago called "Serious Jibber Jabber"

Overall I've always felt Conan tried way too hard to be funny and failed at being over the top.

Conan was never comfortable in front of the camera. Not many gangly, pasty Irishmen would have had a talk show career spanning three decades. This is why you should check it out.
Conan is one of the most admired comedic minds among......, wait for it...., comics. This is why he is able to get an all star list for a friggin podcast.

Conan was a writer on the Simpsons and SNL before he took a talk show. His career could have easily have remained behind the scenes.
The laid back format, and being audio only, really allows us to see Conan in a relaxed state and he is brilliant.

you’ll love this podcast. It’s him toned down to NPR levels and it gives him a ton of room to smart and witty.

It seems like he is able to ask questions other people couldn’t get away with because the guests really trust him.

Whaaaat? He was as good as Letterman or Carson in first ten years on NBC before he went to TBS.

The most recent show with Charles Barkley was probably my favorite of all time.
They should likely make it required listening for all student athletes. He really harps on what a big thing the free education part of NCAA sports is, and how it is underappreciated. he is also friggin hilarious

Al Franken was great and Charles Barkley was surprisingly good. Barkley constantly ripping Conan for having small hands was pure gold.

Finally caught up to the Barkley episode. It was possibly the best one I’ve listened to. From constantly ripping Conan to making fun of Shaq for not knowing the game of basketball and Jordan and “No Tippin” Pippen for being cheap. I was rolling.

His brutal honesty to kids thinking they are going pro should be played in every high school and college locker room in the country.

The Internet has killed the late night format. There are so many ways to view comedy now, and why even sit through the show when you can watch clips later on your own schedule? I’ve been going through all of these at work, similar to listening to Ricky Gervais it makes you wish you could just be in the room while all this is happening.
