Comments about UT and Hurd from Buckeye message board

Remember Duff on the radio after the game talking about
the goal line stand. "I got tired of hearing that fat son of
b**ch Orlando Pace run his mouth so I hit him in the
mouth." This was before the delay for censorship so it played. I was rolling in
the floor laughing. It was classic.

I would give anything to see a replay of that interview.

Not to mention that had the Vest not lied to the ncaa, their top 5+ players would have been suspended for the bowl game.

Troof.

Though in a cruel twist the NCAA pitiful sanctions ended up gifting bama another NC. Blah. I hate the bucks but hate the tide so much more.

Turning into the OLE MISS of this year? Please, no. We are not Ole Miss. We aren't going to have one great class. This is still Tennessee. I know we've been down lately, but there is no doubt that this is Tennessee football. We will be back on top and we will continue to recruit well EVERY YEAR. Not just this year

Hell yeah Eagle! Turn it out bruh!

Oh, so were you actually on the field palying that day? That's awesome.

I wasn't, but my cousin was (Yes, #50), as well as two of my friends. Yes, we dominated them up front that day and wore them completely down. It was a whipping.

How embarrassing and defeated it has to be to be on one of the long line of overrated OSU teams that make it to the NC only to get ***** slapped and sent home by the SEC.

My buddy Jeff swears up and down that had they been eligible (lulz), that last year's OSU team would have beaten Bama in the BCSNCG. Only time in my recollection that I've ever called someone "dumber than a box of hammers" to their face. Also the only time I can recall saying something nice about Bama.

Wow did it make you feel dirty? :)

They played like crap most of the season. Barely beat mid majors and IU, defense was garbage. They would have gotten ran over all the same as ND. That's just a typical OSU fan. I almost guarantee they will go undefeated again, not because they're good, Braxton is, I will admit that, but look at their schedule this year, last year. First four games are trash, and then you play in the powerhouse known as Big Ten. HA, Hellen Keller University would go undefeated with the schedule they get every year. It's a joke. They shouldn't go over a one loss sec team even if they're undefeated because its most likely going to happen. We could have easily been 9-3 with their schedule, most likely better than that.

OSU would have gotten beaten by Bama easily. But OSU wouldn't have played Bama, they would've played ND. OSU always matches up pretty well against ND (something like 3 wins 2 losses all-time), so I would have given OSU a shot in that game against ND.

For anyone who thinks the idea that a one-loss SEC team might get left out of a title game is heresy, look at the fact that undefeated KSU, Oregon and ND were all ranked ahead of a one-loss Bama. So the title match-up would have likely been OSU vs ND. All irrelevant though of course with the bowl ban. I don't think anyone in the country can really match up with Bama week-to-week, though. You might get the occasional one-off (ala Texas A&M, and Georgia's close call), but not when Saban has 30+ days to prepare for them. If Clemson can beat LSU, and Louisville can beat up on Florida, I don't think it's heresy to think that top-notch ACC, Big East, B1G teams can match up with 2nd tier SEC teams from time to time -- but I don't think anyone is challenging Bama in a bowl game. They are on a completely different level.

So comparing other conferences best teams vs an SEC also ran is what that very long post is about? Whatever gives you hope, I guess.
