Colquitt

This is a stupid thread, Culquitt can praise God after a kick if he wants to. I would do the same thing. As to why he does it when one goes thru the endzone, its prolly because most of them have a good chance to be downed or just barely go in and he prolly has a smile on his face like barely missed when he is running off. Its pretty common for players to thank God during a game hardly something to star a thread over

In this day of self-absorbed superstars with glorified antics, a kid who has made mistakes and (hopefully) learned from them praising his Creator is a breath of fresh air.

personally I find the fact he's on the field so often to be more annoying than his pointing to the sky. You really have issues if a punter's antics annoy you

Anyone showing love to God is a breath of fresh air on TV even if its for show(not saying Culq. does it for show but im sure many ath. do). It can affect younger athletes lives or people who just think that person is cool.

I would imagine he's thanking God but you guys just keep being d-bags

Thanking God for what?

A good punt?

Jack Daniels?

The fact that he didn't get pulled over on his way home the previous night?

A first time offender gets a break. This wasn't his first dance.

I am sorry, but a football field is for playing football. Not for praising Jesus or celebrating like a buffoon.

Its okay to kneel when you score a TD or point to the sky when you make a great throw\catch, but to run and jump around pointing to the sky when you kick the ball in the endzone is unnecessary, imo. It just has the "hey look at me" feel.

If he was doing this praising Allah, people would be going bonkers. So understand where I am coming from

Thankfully, many of us believe in a God that doesn't limit the number of chances we get. Most people have screwed up many things in many ways, and I'm just hopeful that Britton has learned his lesson and walks the higher road from here out.

I believe in the same God. I also believe in humility.

Where your coming from is Ludicrous I could careless if he is praising Allah. This is America we have the freedom to praise whoever whenever. He didnt jump around after kicking it into the endzone and never has. He simply points to the sky and walks off the field.

nice to see kiddiedoc carrying the flame. Pathetic that so many on here would bash a kid for praising who he (and I) believe is his Creator. Props to Colquitt. He's screwed up, but hopefully he has learned his lesson.

As do I. Nice to see Britton pointing in the right direction.

I don't think pointing at anything fits humility... but it is a free country.

From Dictionary.com

1. The state or quality of being humble; freedom from pride and arrogance; lowliness of mind; a modest estimate of one's own worth; a sense of one's own unworthiness through imperfection and sinfulness; self-abasement; humbleness.

yeah, Colquitt showing that everything he's been given and all his second chances are from God, not anything Colquitt has done himself is not an act of humility.
