Good point there Justin. My thing was that he played a ton as a redshirt freshman. At Tennessee that's a very rare thing. We prefer to bury you behind a one man fumbling machine for two years until he graduates.

Lex, I thought the same thing as I was typing that response. My bet is that they'd be sitting behind Austin Rogers and Josh Briscoe still b/c they "can't figure out how to block" or "the playbook is too complex for them right now"

Regarding Lincoln: I believe, if you take out the 8-8 start of his freshman year, he's about 21 of 36. About 58%.

We really thought we had our kicker for the next four years. Did we really just have a sub-par guy on a lucky streak?

If he really is a good kicker, I wonder if his problem is mental or mechanics? I don't know enough about placekicking to guess.

I have no problem with benching starters and giving other players an opportunity to perform. Regardless of what the starter has contributed in the past. Fulmer should do this more often at more postions. Lots of starters who underperform should lose the starting job. Competition makes teams better. Unfortunately UT isn't going to beat many SEC teams kicking field goals though.
