Well, he’s only averaging 8 min a game, and that is heavily skewed by garbage time he got in a few blowouts. He played 6 minutes total in his three games in Maui and was the 10th or 11th guy off the bench. UNC may not be better than us, but they have a deeper roster than we do, and so he isn’t getting much playing time this year.

I actually don't think we really tried that hard to win the MSU game, in that it was taken particularly seriously by the coaches. Rick was cutting up and joking on the sidelines with reporters and Izzo during the game.

I sure do remember DKs coming out party particularly his behind the back dribble and dunk highlight.

Or choose not want to run anything too structured. He's had some good assistants who certainly know offense. I would guess to say he could give a school on it to those in this forum. IOW, he forgot more about it than most of us know about it.

No. 24 Arizona gets beat in OT by West Virginia, putting Arizona at 3-4 to start the season.

Sometimes the grass ain’t always greener. We would’ve utilized Awaka much more effectively if he stayed but it is what it is.

Awaka is a rebound merchant and that’s pretty much it. Still can’t defend anyone without fouling and has no real offensive game outside of rebound putbacks.

Agreed on the rebound merchant. And yeah, the fouling was the biggest drawback, but Awaka is a better finisher around the rim than Felix is at this point which would’ve helped us in his limited minutes, especially with Estrella out.
