College Football Will Be Fine and You're Just Being Dramatic.

Contracts have a way of doing that.
It's not just contracts. It's a federal antitrust exemption, employee status, an athlete union, a CBA agreement, inky 32 teams, and no different participation rules for military trans that the NBA doesn't have.

Apples, oranges, and pineapples.

Why is it the best run professional sport, the NFL... doesn't allow their players to up and leave at will? When they change the rules that you can't do that without penalties then I will agree with your post...But not until.
They are employees, have union representatives and have contractual rights and obligations.
Maybe this is where colleges will end up.

Sure, but unraveling what SCOTUS likened to an illegal cartel isn’t a quick fix. Danny White has put forward the correct proposition that schools and NCAA need to man up and embrace collective bargaining. The portal has already been reduced to one time annually, so that’s progress.

We’re not going back to punishing student athletes for going elsewhere or earning income, when everyone else on campus and society can do so freely. Collective bargaining will put everyone on the same legally enforceable contract basis. That is the fix.
It's gonna take a lawsuit to do it. That would be the fix. The problem is the NCAA is so bad they would mess up the bargaining contract. On the NFL or some Professional Organization needs to come in and work out a good contract template
