College Football Playoff was set up so well…

We got the worst draw, but as soon as I saw Penn State getting essentially a free ride to the semis and Texas getting a gift draw as well I knew this whole thing was a farce. Giving byes to an average Big 12 team and one from the f***king G5 insured that the bracket would be screwed up, and it played out that way. At least the best team is going to end up winning the damn thing.

At least Tennessee had a chance this year. The joke to me is so did 11 other teams. Should be a max of 8 teams. But 12 teams means more money and maybe more parity???

12 teams means more money - you could have stopped right there because that's all this is about. They know it's always going to come down to 2-3 teams max that can truly win it all, but as long as networks will continue to pony up more $$$$ this thing will continue to grow.

none of the top four seeds advanced and the seven and eight seeds are playing for a national title. What a joke.

Truth is TN had to play the best team in the whole darn thing on the road. Just our luck.
Do you really think we had a legit shot at winning it all? The seeding is garbage. However, if it were still the BCS, Oregon would have played uga for the title.

Did I say anything close about believing TN had a chance of winning it all? Hello?

To be fair, I think Ohio State really was one of the best 4 teams. Not the best 2, though. In the BCS days it would have been Georgia Vs. Oregon.

Anyway, it only matters that you get the best team in. It doesn't matter who is 13th. It just matters if somehow a team that was left out is actually THE BEST. Once they're in, anybody can realistically win it. Sometimes the best team doesn't win it.

API and the Coaches poll do pretty good, really.

I think ultimately the expanded playoff worked because the two teams going to the championship wouldn’t have gone if this was last year.

But the seeding really needs to be fixed. That was screwy and really messed things up, should have had better matchups in the second round but wound up with more blowouts because of that crap seeding.

Automatic byes for top four, conference champions get a guaranteed spot but not necessarily a top four seed.

Would have really helped this year.

The same format next season will not change until expansion in 2026 season.

The 4 top ranked conference champions will get the byes again in 2025-26 season. Everyone has a whole 10 months to whine and gripe about the process.
