Conference championships won,
Strength of schedule,
Head-to-head competition,
Comparative outcomes of common opponents (without incenting margin of victory), and,
Other relevant factors such as key injuries that may have affected a team’s performance during the season or likely will affect its postseason performance.

I think if we lost a close game to bama then we would still have a chance but I don't think we have a chance anymore even if we beat them in the SECCG

Let's focus on realistic goals please and remember where we were a few years ago.

A few years ago we where hoping to squeak into a bowl by beating Vandy or Kentucky.

Now we have a realistic shot at 10-2, a really good chance to play in the SECCG and to go for an 11 (most likely) win season and 3rd straight bowl win or 12 win season if some how we can put together a good game in Atlanta.

We gonna be alright folks

If we do make it to Atlanta and I think we will. Alabama will stomp another hole in our backside. We are not bearing Alabama in the near future.

If this team is healthy we can hang with Bama. We have a bye week, followed by the weak half of our schedule to let guys get healed up. Never take any SEC team lightly, but I firmly believe we will be 10-2, a top 15 team, Florida will drop at least two more games, and we will have a rematch with Bama in Atlanta. Our goals are still ahead of us and attainable.

the only way we get in is if we get as healthy as possible and absolutely destroy a 2 loss Bama team in the SECCG, then we will get considered. Maybe.

11-2 SEC Champ gets in UNLESS there are 4 other undefeated Power 5 champs. Chances of that happening are slim to none.

I think if we face Bama again and beat them that would support the theory that the only reason they stomped us out this past Saturday is because we were devastated by injuries.

Playoff committee would let us in.

WTF?

Why would Bama need 2 losses?

We need Alabama to be 12-0. And we just need to beat them. If we beat them when they look like an unbeatable goliath, it'll help strengthen our case that the only reason they beat us in Neyland is because we were devastated by injuries.

Unlike computers or AP voters, the playoff committee takes injuries into account. We were without 3 of our best defensive players. We lost 4 of 5 starting offensive lineman. We were not the same team we thought we would have in the preseason and it showed.

If we can get healthy and meet a 12-0 Alabama team and if we can beat them, we get in to the playoffs. Nobody else in the country would have a better win. And we would be SEC champs. The committee is not keeping a 11-2 SEC Champ out of the playoffs.

In this scenario it would be Alabama sweating bullets hoping the committee lets in a 12-1 team that did not win its conference championship.

Only way we get left out is if there are 4 other conference champions with UNDEFEATED records.

If we can't compete against bama we have no chance of playoffs

Yes our 3rd and 4th stringers can't compete with Bama's 1st string.

Lets just get healthy and get another crack at them in Atlanta.

I like our chances with Cam Sutton and DKjr back on defense. As well as 4 of our 5 starting offensive lineman.

Not a snowball's chance in hell we get in now. Not after a home blowout loss. Other than Vol fans, not many other analysts or committee members (likely none of them) are going to care how injured we are. Besides, no 2-loss team has made it into the playoffs yet and I can easily see them putting in an undefeated OSU and 1-loss Michigan in before us.

Let's just focus on getting healthy, winning out, and winning in Atlanta should Florida lose again.

Not even close to a given.

No....it's not. For someone who claims to know college football so much, this is quite a stupid statement.

Hahahahahahahahahahah.

This team has no chance to get there and would not do well if they did.

Butch is ultra conservative. You don't win titles with swing passes to I-form running backs and bubble screens to everyone on scholarship.

Until he changes his plan, there will be no titles to chase.

If Bama is in Atlanta, the only hope Tennessee would have would be for Bama to overlook them.

A two loss SEC champ could make the playoffs if the two loss team is Bama. No way in hell the corrupt committee lets a two loss Vol team in the playoffs even if we win the SECCG. Believe that.

I honestly would be satisfied with losing one of those playoff bowls, as long as we made it
