Tennessee: Wide Receiver

The good news? A strong majority of Tennessee's pass-catching production returns in 2016. The bad news? It wasn't great last year.
Josh Malone had 31 receptions for 405 yards and two touchdowns. Josh Smith tallied 23 catches, 307 yards and two scores. Preston Williams and Jauan Jennings added a combined 21/307/2 line.
JUCO transfer Jeff George highlights the reinforcements for the position, which needs to become more consistently impactful for quarterback Joshua Dobbs.
Otherwise, the offseason hype won't amount to much in Knoxville.

Malone finds a rhythm with Dobbs and Preston is going to show out this season. Also our passing game will go as far as the LT position allows. Hopefully Richmond is as good as advertised and is ready to keep Dobbs blindside locked down

Life would be easier if a couple would step up and be the elite players we are hoping for. Either way my money is on our defense to dominate games.

If the veteran WRs continue to be inconsistent, we've got incoming talent to challenge for PT. Add Byrd, BJohnson, Callaway and LWilliams to the mix, and Dobbs will have a lot of potential weapons. Hope Malone and PWilly can be clutch. It's time.

We've got talent at the position, just need a couple to go into beast mode.

Yeah, there's not that many teams that can say they have two five star wide receivers with a combined three season under their belts. Absolutely no reason PWill and Malone shouldn't show out this year.

Jenning might be the best

You nailed it Hoss. We are filthy with talent at the position it's just going to take someone to step up and become the go to guy. If that happens the other guys will find their groove. My money is own Preston.

We are as talented as I've ever seen us at wideout. I expect us to be night and day better this season

Go Vols

I am wrong, wasn't most of UT's WRs injured last year not mention we lost a couple for other reasons?
