Chris Fowler should never have apologized for a simple reason: He was right. The Tennessee fans shreiking about Peyton Manning and the injustice of him not winning the Heisman did a good job of convincing the rest of the country that everyone wearing orange is mentally ill. I, along with four other UT grads, met Fowler at the 1999 Kentucky Derby. We asked him to take a picture with us. When he agreed and got into camera range with us, we told him we were UT grads. He looked as if he were thinking he was about to get a beer tossed on him. I took great pride in telling him his analysis of that situation was spot on. I still have a copy of that picture on the wall in my office.

Not saying anything one way or the other, but I thought you might get a "chuckle" out of this:

?Washing? Tennessee?s Relationship with ESPN | Bleacher Report

I dont like that the guy wrote bad things about UT any more than the next guy.....but it isnt like we are the first school that a sports TV station has reported bad things about, that were baseless. I hated ESPN at the time of the allegation as well, I just dont buy that they as a company have some hatred towards us, any more than they do any other school. However, If I ever got the opportunity to physically injure Fowler, I would NOT pass it up.....that is one self centered idiot, who contributes absolutely NOTHING to the College Gameday show, other than riding Herbie's coat tails.
