I'm surprised they're talking about TN at all after last season. I could care less if Marve comes to UT, but hopefully they'll continue to talk about him until he decides.

i dont think anybody sends QBS to the nfl , whoever is lucky enough to get the elite QBS are just along for the ride ,i would say that most of the QBS in the nfl probably come from alot of different schools, i meen is any one school QB U ?

BYU more than anybody:

Steve Young
Jim McMahon
Giffor Nielson
Marc Wilson
Ty Detmer (Don't laugh, career rating higher than Eli Manning and his only season as a starter his rating has like 84)

I gotta go with the U.
Jim Kelly
Bernie Kosar
Vinny Testaverde
Steve Walsh
Craig Erickson
Gino Torretta
Ken Dorsey
Brock Berlin

I'm pretty sure that only 2 of those names had meaningful careers after Miami. But seriously, Torreta and Dorsey shouldn't even be mentioned as great QB's!

Just for the record, Purdue is a better QB school that UT.

They have put more in the NFL, but most of theirs are pretty far back. 40s-60s. During some of that time our offensive game plan consisted simply of not allowing anyone to score ALL YEAR.

They aren't the absolute best but seriously, look at the NFL players that Purdue has produced from the QB position

Bob Griese
Len Dawson
Gary Danielson
Jim Everett
Drew Brees
Kyle Orton

that's just off the top of my head

two of those guys are HOFers

How many UT quarterbacks are starting in the league right now?

I'm just saying, I see where ESPN is coming from on this.

Jim Kelly - HOF
Bernie Kosar - 11 year career in the NFL
Vinny Testaverde - 20 year career in the NFL
Steve Walsh - 10 year career in the NFL
Craig Erickson - 7 year career in the NFL
Gino Torretta - 4 year career in the NFL
Ken Dorsey - 6 year career in NFL (not retired)
Brock Berlin - 4 year career in NFL (not retired)

I don't know, but I would think that having 8 qbs having made the NFL in the last 25 years would qualify the school as a pretty good qb school. Torretta was not much of a pro qb, but he did win a heisman and 2 national championships. I'd call that great.
