Summarizing what was said-

Colin was talking about type A personalities in reference to Coach Pete Carroll. In the sentence he listed 3 coaches- Carroll, Saban, and Kiffin.

A few minutes later a caller said, "Did you just say Kiffin in that list?" in a sardonic tone...

Colin kinda interrupted him and said yes I did and that he will turn things around at Tennessee and you can thank me later. :dance2:

Wish I had heard it. The positive publicity for the Vols just keeps coming today.

I heard it today too and posted it in the Kiffin won't leave for USC thread. I liked what he said though and I think that it's true.

Kiffin won't stay long after, and if, he wins a NCG. That's what Cowherd was talking about.

Type A Personalities that move around a lot and won't stay for 40, or even 9-10 years.

The guy is a complete idiot.

Reading your post history and I don't even believe you're a Tennessee fan.

All of your posts are negative in regards to the Vols. If you're a Vol fan then your screen name suits you perfectly. You're a toxic fan. You have a terrible attitude.

Thank God you don't play for the Vols. You'd be more of a disruption than Terrel Owens.

I heard it and if he is right then Kiff will win SECC and NC in the next decade or so, then leave for the NFL....I can accept that....

As of now, I think he'd only leave in the future for an NFL gig or sunny beaches. He seems to love the game and Tennessee has not only some of the best fans in the country but some of the best facilities. Nothing like 100,000+ screaming fans. The picture hugging Bruce Pearl shows he cares about the school as a whole. I hope we have both coaches for a long time.

Orgeron, Lane, and these assistants don't stay places for long anyway, so even if they don't go pro they'll go somewhere else.

I don't care what happens as long as we win a NC and don't fall into mediocrity.

I was thinking about this yesterday. The formula calls for 9-11yrs, 3 for buildup, 3 for peak (conference and national championships) and 3-5 to get the fan base all pissed about "only" making BCS bowls every year. I think it has more to do with fans and administrations than it does personalities. If Bear Bryant would have started coaching in 2000 Bama would have fired him by now.

The shots he's been firing across other school's bows.... He's got to prove something here before his agent's phone rings again..

Cowherd is my favorite radio personality. I don't agree with anyone 100% of the time, but even when I don't he typically makes a valid point. If you think Colin is an idiot, I'd be curious to know what personalities you like. Or is everyone in radio an idiot?

Bravo! I dont like many talking heads, but Cowherd tells it like it is and knows his sports. What's not to like? He is very successful for some reason. I consider myself a critic, but give credit when due.

Hamilton needs to bump Kifin's salary up a mil or two, to keep him happy and make sure he doesn't look around for other jobs, like USC.

Kiffin needs to win a bit more before he gets 2 million more a year. I don't think any schools is going to come offering him that much anytime soon.

Yep and I won't be surprised when Kiffin does leave after lots of success here. The days of the legacy coaches are over.

I don't think Cowherd is an idiot. He's no sports genius, but he knows enough to put on an entertaining show. I always download his podcast to listen to it while doing yard work. That one and "Football Today."
I'm also a fan of that chick who does the TV show with Cowherd. She looks like a younger Cameron Diaz.
