Called the 3 point spread bogus and said it was a 14 point game.

Specifically stated a freshman QB against "Monte Kiffin and the Tennessee defense... they're going to get trounced".

Colin has always been pretty kind to the Vols! One of the few ones from ESPN that doesn't hate the Vols!

If I were a gambler and could get someone to give me a 3 pt spread... I'd bet the house.

where is this 3pt spread?

I joined in in the middle of his rant. I thought it was 10 points, but maybe it's changed?

That's word-for-word what he was saying though.

EDIT: Only thing I can think of is there was a segue from the ND/Michigan game... which is a 3 point spread.

Like Cowherd. Not so much on Sports Nation-(Think that is why espn bought into volnation ?--those lawyers are careful with every little dotted I and crossed T)
Anyways Colin tells it like he sees it----no politically correct bs from the Herd.

I listen to him everyday, he is the most honest man on radio like him or not. Although he also picked us last year to win this game based on how well our line played in 07. So lets hope for the best.

He consistently slams the Big 10(11).

On Kiffin:

"Wants to get a lot of momentum going into this SEC season. He is not going to hold off... he wants to bury anyone he can"

"Tennessee is always good athletically. Like USC, Texas, Florida. Fulmer couldn't coach them... but that doesn't mean they haven't had them"

I think he is right on with his prediction. Sportsnation is a boring show though. GO VOLS

Context of Colins statements: Colin was talking about home field advantages in the NFL vs. college. Said TN - Pitt game last night would have swung 3 points had the game been in Nashville. He said college otoh is a different story. Take the UT - UCLA game. Playing in Knoxville is worth well more than 3 points. It will be 3 points before the anthem is over.

I too like Colin, best in radio.

his tv show is not even close to what he does on the radio. he was giving the vols props the other day for putting a competitive non conference game on their schedule every year.

Are you forgetting the John Boy and Billy Show?

I'm pretty sure that the opening line was TN -10. Then dropped to -7 ..-8. Now the line is anywhere from -6.5 to -10. The over/under is 45 points

He also mentioned how much a college quarterback (especially a redshirt freshman) and their team can be easily rattled on the road. The home crowd in college can have a major influence in the outcome of the game (versus little influence in the NFL).

We must bring the NOISE in Neyland tomorrow!!! :rock2:

Anyone betting the over better hope Tennessee puts at least 39 or 40 up
