Long time lurker & poster on "another UT forum," but new poster here. The deal w/CC is that he is a HUGE Cutcliffe fan, predicted we'd challenge for the NC last year and had egg on his face; said this year we were a darkhorse challenger for the SECC; and said before the UCLA game that betting on UT, even against the spread, was his sure thing of the week. HE looks like a doofus b/c we've done so poorly, so now he's lashing out.

I don't know many if any of us who really thought we'd be THIS bad this year, but I also don't know many fans who REALLY thought we'd win the SECC either.

That's why he said darkhorse challenger. He's a radio guy. He's supposed to draw ratings. If he sat around and predicted USC to win the Pac-10, Oklahoma to win the Big 12, and Georgia and LSU to play for the SEC title, it would be a ho-hum show. Radio guys don't get paid to be right, they get paid to say shocking things.

Most thought we would be a factor though.

I don't like Cowherd anyway. He sounds too much like Rome in that he thinks he's the smartest guy in the room.

About Fulmer, or anything else, either. Cowherd isn't a liar; he has repeatedly said on the air that his show is based on capitalism, and that he is paid to be an "entertainer," and whether he's right about anything at all doesn't matter a bit as long as he's opinionated and interesting enough that people keep listening, such that espn can sell advertising for his show. No advertising $$$, no show.

In terms of national syndication, ignorant blowhards tend to do quite well (the biggest example of which is Rome). Don't listen; if enough do likewise, they'll put someone else on.

IOW's we shouldn't listen to what he's got to say about Fulmer either, right?

And you be suprised at the number of people who wager on games on what these type of media folks say.

Cowturd just likes to kick people when they're down. He was doing the same thing to Saban almost 2 years ago. Today on the show he was kissing his tail.

We still can. We can "upset" Vandy later in the year. That should shake up the SEC East standings...

You know we suck when we are talking about upsetting Vandy?????
WTF???

This season is like having a case of gohnerpeckerrukis...:ermm:

The man's got an ego, that's for sure. I like the majority of his points, but at times, he can be quite hypecritical. Also, he never likes to admit when he's wrong; especially with his picks.

And what kind of Vol fan doesn't know how to spell Peyton's name right?

Here, Let me help you understand...one is a careless mistakeful Vol fan ...the other is a calculating, disrespectful troll laughing at how the Vols are turning on one another! :eek:k:
