Does 3-7 and all losses double digits jog your memory?

Thank you, because that is the only thing that is an objective measure of a coach. And under that (or any other objective measure), Pruitt is an abysmal head football coach.

The fact that certain players want to follow a loser doesn’t change that.

No one really knows why the players are leaving other than the players inner circles. Some players may have expressed their thoughts however these are kids and their mind changes frequently. They also are aware of what social media can do to their future. I just wish the modern media would stay out of a lot of sports to make it great again. Coaches aren't supposed to care about feelings they are only supposed to care about performance.

If Pruitt was so bad? Why are current and players and commits leaving??
Are you trying to convince us that Tennessee should have retained a head football coach who has a 16-19 record, with 13 of those losses by 21 points or more? It doesn't matter how well you recruit when players aren't being developed, necessary in-game adjustments aren't made and your schemes are Pop Warner basic. The same 3 or 4 plays worked over and over against Tennessee's defense all season... Pruitt should have been fired for a lack of progress on the field. The violations provided a "for cause" opening and the administration took it.

Holy Shnike, is that an accurate stat???

Sheesh, I knew it was a show, but 13 games by 21 points? That's nearly 70% of his losses by three or more touchdowns and almost 40% of all games. Wow.

If you took a job and before you started work everyone from the guy who hired you to his boss and his boss’s boss all got fired - including all the admin staff - AND THEN the company hired a new head man who hasn’t hired any of your bosses yet....

might you think twice? Or maybe take an equivalent job elsewhere if offered?

Why should I care? They want to play for a crap coach. You do realize the record and the cheating right? Screw this guy. How he has supporters still is amazing. Bigger plague then Lane, Dooley, or Butch. I can't believe we got excited about a man who is clearly a dumb ass. In every way. People actually posted that they were excited that he didn't know what asparagus was and that he likes corn bread.

Well, because they didn't know he was going to get caught by the NCAA for one. Guys are hesitant to stay associated with a problem like that.

The current players all have their reasons. However some probably testified and burned bridges at UT. Others were involved and don't want to try to live it down at UT. Some were possibly made promises including financial promises that are no longer going to be given.

And honestly, if they only have a year left to play... they might not even be able to play for a bowl this fall.

There are a lot of reasons guys might want to leave. None reflect well on Pruitt. Some are neutral. Others reflect very badly on him.

When we're facing a potential 2 year NCAA bowl ban as well as loss of scholarships , who can blame them for exploring their other options in this time of uncertainty .

Huge difference in a accepted scholarship and job.
