I really want to just be happy-happy joy-joy over that, but one of my favorite nephews sent me an email tonight asking whether, given how reactionary people were- and the fact that there's a 60% illiteracy rate in TN- having a Vol named Coker do well this weekend against LSU might pervert the election returns. "Pervert" being the operative word, considering the fact that the Vol 'Coker' is a young Black male, and the politician of the same name... well... let's just say that... okay, let's not...

Sounds absurd, but, then, the nephew's right about that 60% illiteracy thing- except it's 65%.- and, after all, the whole basis of the Florida election debacle was that people reacted to the names rather than actually looked at what the forms said.,,,

... If Smokey should happen to run out on the field tommorrow and bite Coker on the butt, and if said dog should be painted yellow at the time, I hope I can count on everybody here to forget we ever had this conversation.....

So misunderstood in his own time, our grandchildren will probably take classes on the views and muses of MV someday.

Much love for Lamarcus Coker and Much dislike for Bob Corker. May Bob Corker be first in riches and the first to go to hell !
