The coaches better own some things:

Why was Stone left in the game? He just about ruined the offense with his ground ball snaps.

Why was time not called once the Gators lined up to block the punt???

Are the offensive lineman not good enough, too fat, or to dumb to run block? This makes three games in a row.

Why was Rogers not pulled after his second drop? ANYONE can drop the ball. Lack of discipline.

Not going for it on the fourth down was a mistake. That goes back to not being able to run block.

The return game was miserable. Why not try DY? Losing is losing.

Tyler Bray can't win the game by himself. He did an amazing job.

Why was Poole used less than Lane?

It is going to be a long year if these are not answered.

Oh yes, and there needs to be something done about Palardy. I can go out there and kick it wide left. Seriously, is he the best we have???

Rogers wasn't pulled because he was our best reciever left on the field. That is like saying why wasn't Rainey pulled when AJ stripped him. Yes he dropped some balls it happens also made some stellar catches his second TD was a great catch

I agree with most of your points friend.

I think DY wasn't used because we have an off week. Give him 2 more weeks to heal and get used to contact, then throw him in against Buffalo, not in the swamp. Also, I think Lane is going to start to overtake Poole strictly because we're getting Lane ready for when he's the man. Poole DOES NOT LOOK GOOD. Lane just flat out looks better running the ball (when he can hold onto it).

Future looks good, right now looks like it needs some work. We have to have a backup plan for if one of our cogs get's broken in the offensive machine.

Why was Stone left in the game? He just about ruined the offense with his ground ball snaps.... WE DON'T HAVE A CENTER EVEN HALF AS GOOD AS HIM AND HE IS USING HIS RIGHT HAND AND HE IS LEFT HANDED

Why was time not called once the Gators lined up to block the punt??? BECAUSE THE COACHES BELIEVE THEIR LINE CAN BLOCK...THEY DIDNT

Are the offensive lineman not good enough, too fat, or to dumb to run block? This makes three games in a row. 4 SOPHMORES AND A JUNIOR LEARNING TO WORK TOGETHER AND A CENTER SNAPPING WITH OFF HAND

Why was Rogers not pulled after his second drop? ANYONE can drop the ball. Lack of discipline. UMMM...REALLY

Not going for it on the fourth down was a mistake. That goes back to not being able to run block. OK

The return game was miserable. Why not try DY? Losing is losing. ... AT LEAST IT WAS NOT THE LAST 3 YEARS OF FUMBLING

Tyler Bray can't win the game by himself. He did an amazing job. HE HAD 6 DROPPED PASSES BY UT AND 5 BY FLORIDA... COME ON...HE DID PLAY VERY WELL BUT

Why was Poole used less than Lane? i DON'T KNOW.. HE HAD 1 GOOD RUN.. BUT ALSO MISSED 2 ASSIGNMENTS ON 2ND DRIVE THAT I SAW.. AND LANE IS MUCH FASTER.

Balls that hit your hands are not stellar. They are the norm in college. He played average and it hurt. Average won't get it done in the SEC. The Vols are in trouble, especially if Hunter is indeed done.

It's starting to look like we're in for another long year one way or another. Hunter is out for some undetermined amount of time, possibly the season, our o-line can't run block our defense just flat sucks and our special teams amazingly, is probably worse. I didn't go into the game expecting a win, but I didn't even expect we were going to get manhandled to the degree we did. Not only did we lose our 7th in a row to the Gators, but it was the 5th consecutive year that we didn't even compete. Just a VERY frustrating day all around.

Do you always write in all caps?

Those answers are simplistic and far less than what will be required to win a close game. Run blocking is about imposing your will and putting a hat on a hat. This may come as a shock, but most every other team in the conference does it better...like all of them.

We lose Justin Hunter and you want to bench Da'Rick Rogers? Are you insane?

Roger should of been pulled ? you have lost your mind. What if he has a drop pull him ? Glad ur not a coach.
Where is your thoughts on the def. and Wilcox ?
failed thread

Oh okay, we should not expect more or say anything when we see failings by the staff. With that logic, Fulmer would still be here and Delmonico would be rolling along in baseball.

Nice. No I have never played there, but I never have been paid millions to do my job either.

Failed? When a team that is good drops=bench. It is all about focus and selling out to make the catch. He lost it and it hurt. He should have had some time to think about it. Give the other guys a chance to catch the ball. Ever coached?? I have. Not at this level or in the swamp, but discipline is universal. Just saying, it has to happen.

Almost all of your points are ridiculous. Its was easy to see that with Hunter out we lost a lot. You can only play the best players at each position. I think we are just a
year away.

The defense played hard, but the Vols got in a hole due to poor special teams play....blocked punt, poor coverage and Parlady missing his first attempt.....next thing you know it's 16-0, but it could have been a lot worse had the defense not played as well as they did....

get off the crack Jr. Rogers is the best we have now....should they have benched Bray when he threw the int in the 3rd quarter?

The coaches better own some things:

(Just giving my take on this)

Why was Stone left in the game? He just about ruined the offense with his ground ball snaps.

He's really the only center we have. Bullard plays center as well, and he was having an awful game. I couldn't imagine swapping them out.

Why was time not called once the Gators lined up to block the punt???
Matt Darr has been doing that quick Aussie style kick all season. Oddly enough, he decided not to this game, it would seem. This isn't a coaching issue, this is a "Darr needs to kick the damn ball" issue.

Are the offensive lineman not good enough, too fat, or to dumb to run block? This makes three games in a row.
Offensive line is young, weak, and all out terrible.

Why was Rogers not pulled after his second drop? ANYONE can drop the ball. Lack of discipline.
Stupidest thing I've EVER heard. "Yeah, let's just pull our top playmaker on the field."

Not going for it on the fourth down was a mistake. That goes back to not being able to run block.
I agree wholeheartedly.

The return game was miserable. Why not try DY? Losing is losing.
Losing Devrin Young < Losing to Florida. They didn't punt enough in the game to make a dramatic difference, and Young was never listed as a kick returner.

Tyler Bray can't win the game by himself. He did an amazing job.
Agree

Why was Poole used less than Lane?
What did Poole do to deserve to be used more than Lane?

It is going to be a long year if these are not answered.

Pardon any smart-alec answers. I'm hardly sober enough to type.

You can tell this guy's a failed troll when he wants to pull the best receiver on the field after the #1 goes down.

2/10 troll for irritating me. Still a loser. Please fall off of the nearest high structure.

There were players that played well. There is talent and a great future ahead, but only if certain things are addressed. There are things that must be fixed and quick. Believe me, no one hates watching all the mistakes more than me. Hopefully, time and experience will fix some. But the coaches have to step it up too.

So basically you're saying that "getting it" means not questioning the coaching staff after we got flat out manhandled and humiliated by one of our biggest rivals for the 7TH STRAIGHT YEAR? At some point people are going to have to stop blindly carrying water for DD and just call a spade a spade. He's never won a game against a quality opponent in his entire career, and at UT, aside from last years LSU game, hasn't really even been competitive.

Those are all good answers and I agree with every one of em. Good reply
