So, now that NSD is over and the recruiting rankings are all said and done, I guess the biggest question for me at the moment is whether Kiff and Co. will be able extract the maximum of potential from the players we do have.

I'm not a Phil Fulmer basher, by any means. I'm grateful for what he did for the program. However, it does seem that the last few years, the team had (a lot of) athletes that never lived up to their potential. (Specifically, I'm thinking of O-line play, but there are probably numerous other examples if one wanted to dig deep enough.)

So the question is...Do you all think that the current regime will do a better job getting the most out of players than the former regime did? And if so, what do you expect to see in terms of results on the field? (Personally, I think an emphasis on squats rather than bench press records can't do anything but help the o-line and running game, for example.)

I would have to agree with you and that is the real test for the coaching staff. Can they develop the talent that we have on the team or will have on the team. I believe that they will and the results will be evident this year. If we are mentally and physically tougher this coming season, I believe that we will upset Florida and beat Alabama. I don't believe that the talent gap is as great as people say, but I do believe that the coaching gap was immense. If we achieve the physical and mental toughness that has been missing, the sky is the limit.

Easy on the beating UF and Bama thing but, overall your right. Now is the time to prove the 5 mil was worth it. I for one are looking forward to it. I wan to see the Vols not beat themselves.

After watching the presser yesterday, it's obvious this staff actually has a plan.

Well the cupbard is not bare. There is talent on this team that never saw the feild.I belive the biggest differance will be in effort.I don'ttink they will give up during a game like we used to do under CFP.I think we will be better condition for the fourth quarter.
