Coaching or talent?

People like you are funny. So, I am supposed to believe that this guy has no talent and every kid with size gets an offer from bama, Florida and Scar?

6 months in between the offer and him commiting to UT so dont like he was a freshman when they pursued him. Here is your time line so maybe i can speak on it now.

Either way I am done with you. peace

May 29, 2015: Offer
Alabama Crimson Tide offer Marcus Tatum

September 26, 2015: Unofficial Visit
Marcus Tatum unofficially visits Florida Gators

December 09, 2015: Coach Visit
Kerry Dixon from Florida Gators visits Marcus Tatum

January 11, 2016: Commitment
Marcus Tatum commits to Tennessee Volunteers
As I said, whatever you have to tell yourself to feel better. Most clowns take this route to keep that smile on their face.

So it really is a picture of the players? Who are the ones pictured?
In the top is the '97 team, I believe. Manning's in it, Leonard Little, Al Wilson, Peerless Price, Darwin Walker, Chad Clifton, and others.

Bottom picture is last year. Eric Crosby, Jayshon Robertson, Trey Smith, Darrell Taylor, Jonathan Kongbo, and others

been around the program for 45 years.. seen a lot of players come through.. maybe one or two can be developed. but most have little time left to be saved. Probably too strong to say ALL can't be.
Guy “that should know” who told you that Chryst would be the starter? Who sprung for the fajitas? 😏

Piss poor coaching and worse recruiting by the "master recruiter" led to a lack of talent. You simply cannot make a thoroughbred race horse out of a mule.

You, sir, just uttered an oxymoron..... How can it be piss-poor coaching when all you have are mules on the track??

But pretty much sums up the depth of FB knowledge on this site.....

You guys are gonna wish your words were a little less bitter once CJP gets his players and begins to dominate?

Interesting....and probably not a good move on Pruitt's part since the O line has been the worst performing unit on the team by far

Did you ever see the job Friend did at Colorado State in their run game while he was there? get out of your cocoon sometimes please

When we hired him, I remember the flak he took from UGA fans back in the day, but you look at the OL talent left behind after he left and there’s something there. Wonder if Richt interfered a lil too much or not enough?

Former coach who “should know” because? Connected to the CURRENT staff?

might have just been his opinion. I tend not to question coaches or ex-coaches when they say something. I'm not smart enough to do that. ;)

Cool. He was confident enough to convince you.

1 play bothered me more than anything else.
Charlotte got to our QB with a 3 man rush. A 3 man rush - Charlotte.

Seems 5 decent sized VN members should be able to hold back 3 players for more than 2.4 seconds after being coached up for months.
It raised a concern with me.
No talent and no effort- not a winning formula.

good point..... What he did at Colorado State was PHENOMENAL.....as the OC and OL coach....the guy can flat out coach and knows what he is doing....
I know that I'm too abrasive in my comments....but CJP has put together a staff of GREAT COACHES...not just his friends, nor guys who have never accomplished anything...

CSU offensive coordinator Will Friend, cornerbacks coach leaving for Tennessee

These guys are THE GUYS to turn it around.......

WHY are they NOT getting the benefit of the doubt in year ONE like CDD and CBJ did?? It just baffles me....

Segment of fans aren’t patient and don’t want to be so. If Pruitt turns us around, fan deadlines won’t be enforced.

quote: So LSU has a talent problem too, who would have thunk it.
"I think Alabama overpowered us," Orgeron said. "When you max protect, you're doing everything you can in protection, and they're beating you, you've got to look at personnel, and you got to get better. I don't think it was scheme at all. I think they overpowered us, and there was nothing we could do about it."

Average to great coaches never complain about a lack of talent. That is all Pruitt does. You sell out your team on national TV and then expect them to perform. Really?
you are absolutely right.....he will still blame players for next two years...

Sorry but we weren't playing an SEC team yesterday and they still looked terrible.. Are we really going to say that kids recruited but UT that have been practicing since spring under Pruitt shouldn't be able to move Charlotte off the ball? Am I being unreasonable?
very reasonable....I was afraid Charlotte was going to win.

Talent better at CO State?
Less competition and a HC who knew how to scheme around deficiencies.

That is not a slam on Helton as I thought he did a great job scheming against SC but for some reason went away from in versus Charlotte.
