In fairness I understand your point about them winning the B1G as it's been a while but they have won a big 10 fb championship it's probably been 20 years but who had Indiana on their bingo card this year?

Valid counter argument and not a single personal insult. Much respect.

My opinion is IU coach is top shelf elite and we are lucky as hell that he’s not in the SEC.

I hope I am wrong because I am honestly sick of the coaching carousel we have all have lived since 09 but this team looks very very undisciplined and not prepared. This is both sides of the ball. We just seem to be winging it.

I watched IU play OSU and man that team was so well coached on both sides of the ball.

We just make so many mistakes on both sides. False starts at the worse times. Off side at the worse time. Horrible tackling. Missed FGs other teams make to win games. Bad clock management. O play calling that is obvious and easy to predict. No spy.

I hope he turns it around but this is just how the end of Dooley, Jones, and Pruitt felt. Like you could see he just didn’t have what it takes.

I know I sound like a broken record but it’s year 5. He clearly doesn’t know how to develop a QB and hasn’t yet here once and I am still considered that Hooker only started after Milton was hurt. That tells me he can’t truly gauge talent and that was like year 1. Nothing appears to have changed.

I mean we are headed back to the portal again for a QB. In year 5….

Anyways sorry for my long ass rant. I don’t have many “next years” left.

I think this should end the debate on whether Huepel can develop QBs

It’s late but there is a lot of BS in that article. And Josh didn’t develop Hooker. Hooker came in laser beaming it. He was a transfer.

When I see it at TN I will say you are right and if I forget you can remind me.

But he ain’t developed jack crap here yet.

My point was Hooker going to light it up at Virginia Tech had he stayed? I will say that he was a crap the bed against UGA and a knee injury from possibly winning the Heisman Trophy. You have to admit that was not happening for him at VT. But you can't say that he hasn't coached and developed QB's. I know it's hard to admit right now because of the taste of the game tonight but you really can't blame Huepel for self entitled 💩 (Nico and Boo Hoo) not wanting to put in the work. You just gloss right over everything Joey Aguilar did this season. Huepel has had 3 QBs here not including Joey and one walks around in pajamas (that should have been a warning sign) the others were True Freshman. Lighten up

They lost by 53 to Indiana, got dominated at home by Ohio St, blown out in Seattle against Washington, then got whooped by an awful Wisconsin team.

Simmer down Francis I wasn't making a case for Illinois in the cfp just pointing out that they had 2 losses that were to the #1 and #2 and Washington game was by maybe a couple of TDs not 53.

They’re not a very good team. Sadly.

They are playing the Music City bowl of course they aren't a great team. Carefully read before you just reply. All I said was that two of their 4 losses were against #1 and #2. I didn't say they played well in those games just that was two of their losses

Wasn’t trying to argue, which I know is rare on here. Anyway it doesn’t really matter. If UT was a good team, they would have beaten Illinois by double digits, or better yet, not been in the Music City bowl.

Hooker? Clueless. He was mediocre at best coming out of VT. 1300 yards season before transferring and 9 tds. Laser beaming it…wtf man we have the absolute dumbest fans in the world. You don’t have any clue

Did all you Hooker fans ever think, maybe he just got in a zone for a year. He never touched anything close before or since. I loved that season but it happens to athletes, in every sport, they have a season where everything they do turns out right.

In year 5? What's he been doing
No expert here but I suspect upward improvement doesn’t happen in a straight line. Whether football or financial investment one needs to expect ups and downs. So far this staff is in an upward trajectory. Maybe not as steep as I’d like, but far better than the endless searching years.

Sure if you wanna say he just got in a zone for a year as he threw for 6000 yards, 58 tds and only 5 ints in 2 years after being 3rd string coming out of spring practice, that’s fine.
