This isn't the last game. If we are 1-2 or 0-3, come back, and then have this discussion w/ us.

Boy, if you think there's been problems with UT players off the field, who better than Dennis Erickson to bring in.

Let's see here....the guy who nearly got Miami the death penalty while driving them into the ground, "resurrecting" Oregon State into possibly the most classless team I've ever seen, and burying Idaho (with their own arrest problems, including a few for TRAFFICKING COCAINE!)

Bringing up Erickson is like saying, "You know, I think our local pastor isn't doing a good job. Let's bring in someone more charismatic like Jim Jones or David Koresh."

glad to see the coaching changes threads are out in full force tonight:banghead2:

is this necessarily a pro-coaching-change-thread?

i am asking who would be a realistic shot to replace phil fulmer. personally i think a lot of people just assume you make a change without thinking who is a replacement.

You should have seen it after the Penn St loss.
It was absolutely warranted. One of PSU's running backs basically called our defense a bunch of pansies. We acted indignant, but tonight he was proven absolutely right. I mean, we made frickin' CAL look like a smash mouth football team.

Jon Gruden ain't going to take a pay cut to come into the meat grinder of SEC football.

maybe.

i am just not sure tennessee has been the poster child for well disciplined football programs in the last 15 years.

Which is why Dennis Erickson is absurd to even mention. He has a lengthy track record at every place he's ever been; for one program to have problems isn't unheard of. But for one coach to be there for three having trouble to the extent they did, to me, indicates something more sinister.

i understand what you are saying.

my purpose in starting the thread was simply to see what alternatives were out there as opposed to simply saying "fulmer stinks."
i mean if you want a coaching change then at least there should be a likely alternative. i was just putting a name out there.

not sure he is as bad as you say - but i certainly understand your point.
