Coaches Hot Seat Rankings - 2012

Yeah I really don't get it. If hot seat means they're going to get fired then there are way more guys ahead of Dooley. If hot seat means people are going to be mad if they don't perform well, then these rankings are a little on the right path I guess.

Dooley looks like he is right where he should be on the list. But Mac Brown... Really? I had no idea they were saying stuff like that about him.
I grew up with Mike Riley's son. Mike is a great man I hope he finds a way to beat USC again this year and keep his job. Shoot I hope he beats every PAC 15 school they play.

Hot seat means if they don't start winning some games, they will be dealt with..

He has never won, and his record to keep coaches tells you all you need to know. He wins or he can go back to mommie.

James Franklin is higher on the list than Richt. That is far from reality. Franklin is basically their messiah up in Nashville. Im not sure I would take Joker Phillips off any hot seat list. I know he beat us which gave him some job security, but the head hunters were looking at him the majority of last season. I live in Kentucky and everyone wants him fired.

Dooley will be off of this chart next year. 2012 will be one of the better years for the Vols in a long time. Good year this year, write it down

This is total BS.

CDD is NOT on any hot seat unless we tank the entire season and only win 4 or 5 games and that's not going to happen.

AD Hart loves CDD and his rebuilding plan and knows that we'll never get any top coach to replace CDD unless CDD is given a fair shake of at least 4 to 5 years to get our disaster of a program turned around.

I believe this season will show everyone that CDD has us back on the right track and he'll get us back on top if the stupid fans will shutup and let him keep rebuilding the way his plan is setup to do.

VFL...GBO!!!

Like it or not if Dooley only wins 6 games it's very possible he'll be fired at the seasons end.

Of course it'll have a lot to do with how he lost the games he lost, who we beat and how we beat them, injuries, bad luck breaks, etc. If we only win 5, it's alomst certain he'll be let go. If we just catch bad breaks then he could get a way with 5 or 6 wins. But 4 wins he's out of here regardless of what happens, IMO.

The only thing that has not been fixed yet is the wins on the field with CDD. It appears at this point that Hart has dealt with the relationship issues with CDD and his players and coaches. If Duh'rick is unhappy I feel better about the team. The VFL program is big. The lack of arrests off the field is big. The improved academic emphasis is big. The defensive scheme is fixed with Sunseri. The offensive scheme is probably fixed with Pittman and Graham - my guess is their input on the running game changes has been required (by Hart and Dooley). Another year with the young guys in McKeef's S&C.

I will be disappointed if they do not win 9 games this season with the schedule they have. It's time for Big Boy Football on the hill. If that happens the hot seat will get much cooler.

I hope you're right. I don't think you are but as they say, hope springs eternal.

It's ridiculous to see the UT Head Coach only garner $1.8/yr. You get what you pay for. Dooley may turn out to be a bargain, but if this year doesn't work out, UT needs to throw some serious dollars to get a top-level coach. The USF HC makes more than the UT Head coach? What a Joke!

I'm gonna get blasted for this but just know I completely support dooley and firmly believe in him. My statement is IF dooley does get fired after this year, I would LOVE for us to throw the big bucks at Gundy.
