Rodney Garner,Kelsey Pope and Joey Halzie haven’t signed extensions.Garner is the only coach on the defensive side of the ball that brings discipline. He’s not the recruiter that he once was as everyone thinks. He was a bagman.NIL has made that an even playing field.Rumor has it he has a good relationship with Golesh and would like to return to Auburn family matters included.Does he take Chop with him? Marion Hobby is on staff and has about the same resume as Garner.Natty and NFL experience plus VFL.Now Pope rumored to Auburn also not sure we want to lose him.Halze has been mentioned to be poached by Golesh also but what does he do here,he doesn’t call plays which if we had a coordinator that was trusted maybe Heup would have more time for game management.

CJH wouldn’t call plays under Golesh either so why would that be an upgrade for him? Considering Garner played at Auburn I would say that it’s a definite possibility. Pope is from Alabama but I don’t know if he has any real ties Auburn

There's not a coach on this staff that I'd sweat losing and that includes Heupel. One thing that I'll be watching is if Garner leaves Heupel and joins Golesh. While one could argue Garner would be choosing Auburn, you have to wonder if it's not a lack of confidence in Heupel/Banks. And I suspect it would be...a lack of confidence in the head coach and DC.

I’d like to keep the #1 QB and #1 WR in the country in this upcoming recruiting class. But hey who needs talent.

There isn't a single Coach on the staff that we can't afford to lose. We just need the checks not to bounce so we can keep the Mercenary Recruits.
You don’t think someone could match whatever we pay and they just decide to go to a more stable program? Because that is what would happen. We’d lose this top class without a doubt.

You don't think we could upgrade any position coach we lose? Our DC is irrelevant in the recruiting world. He doesn't participate. Bring in someone hungry and excited.

Halse being mentioned as possible OC other places seems like a good thing to me. Heupel needs one he has confidence in & will run right ship on offense. It was obvious with the numerous unforced mistakes that hasn’t been the case. Josh doesn’t need to be OC. Maybe they’ve reached an agreement for Halse to find something.

CJH better ramp it up. Next year is going to be even tougher. Now Kiffin will bring LSU to Neyland and Golesh will bring the Auburn Tigers to Neyland.

All assistant coaches will be replaced from within if any leave and that’s the problem
Hobby would be a great choice to replace RG. I think Pope has been an upgrade over Burns, especially recruiting. TE coach has been a great pick up also. I think that is a credit to the program they have quality people to step up. I can’t see the DC coming from within right now.

Doubt that Pope and Burns would be on the same staff.

Pretty certain Rodney has been planning to return to Auburn after this season due to family... if he coaches or not. If Golesh takes him, Chop likely goes as well. Sounds like Golesh might have eyes on Halzle and Pope as well.

these coaches contracts are expiring. It always takes White months to finalize contracts but these expire end of Feb. if they are not going to renew them, they will likely be gone long before that.

10 win season last year and trip to the playoff. Likely 9 win season this year with a QB who got here in May and an elite recruiting class coming in. Yeah, I'm sure coaches are sensing the sinking ship. Lord have mercy.

Would y'all want Clark Lea instead of Heupal
absolutely. I wanted some guy named Norvell two years ago too. What ever happened to him?

Seriously, time will tell about portal programs. So far the ceiling can be high but the floor be way down there. LSU really went big in the portal this year & they were fortunate to go 7-5. FSU has crashed & burnt Top programs other than Indiana are pretty much recruit/portal in that order.

So you think we lose all of those? If so, we're in a bunch of trouble
