#Vols coach Donnie Tyndall: Darius Thompson and AJ Davis have been granted releases, but we hope they return.

Tyndall: It's very important to find a PG. We will add another guard or two. We have many options that will play out over next few weeks.

Tyndall: In this business you are never surprised.

It's possible we may find a small school or JUCO PG that breaks out into a superstar at UT. They could turn out to be better than what we were left with.

Well he has landed two guys who were just as talented as him in the past week. So I would be surprised if he found two guys who would take their place easily.

Darius hurts, Swishardson would kill. Donnie T better do everything in his power to make sure he doesn't get any bright ideas.

Interpretation : I will recruit better players. Thompson and davis don't let the door hit y'all in the ass. :wavy:

Y'all find a school with better fans and facilities ? :rofl:

I expect Richardson to stay, but I'd be interested to find out if he's on track to graduate this summer. If so, he could transfer and be immediately eligible if he so chooses.

He recruited two players just as good as these kids in 10 days...they are afraid of what's gonna happen when he has a whole season to recruit...

Damn right. Just like he said in his introductory press conference...I'm a no-non-sense guy, there's no gray area with me. I may not always tell you what you want to hear, but I will never lie to you. I will make you a better player, better student, better person.

He did not say the following but I think it's self implied...If you're not comfortable with me, my staff or the style of play we will demand, you need to be elsewhere, and there will be no hard feelings.

I for one love his no-non-sense approach :)

Meaning they may not like the fact his team scored less than UT last year and in 8 years his teams have averaged more than 70 3 times. I know everyone wants to make CDT look like a saint but its possible some don't like his style of play.

Precisely. They don't want to give him a chance. I'm sure there's a reason but I don't believe we'll ever find out what it is.

I don't buy the arguments that they're chicken or that CDT didn't want them.

Martin's teams didn't average over 70 ever, did they? How many did we put up against Georgetown last year again?

That's fine. Let them find another soft coach. I'm sure Martin isn't the only one out there

Anybody know who is out their in terms of points guards and guards who can handle the ball, or if u know somebody on the roster who can run point or could become a point in DT's system?
