I was looking under Coach Summitts wiki page and noticing the head coaches and asst. Coaches in her coaching tree. Her record as a head coach speaks for itself, but has there ever been a head coach that has produced other coaches in not only the Women's basketball but any other sport like her?

Even that is not a complete list; Carolyn Peck should be on it and I bet VN can come up with more:)

My favorite season with the Lady Vols was 1996 - 1997. That was the season that we had amassed 10 loses during the regular season. Expectations on the national level were low for us, but the team still had high expectations.
They hit the tournament and got some good match ups and went the distance to the National Championship with a 10 loss season.
Bet you won't see that happen again in the college ranks.....

That was a tough-minded group in '97. Summitt was not shy about calling individual players out for poor play--did it a lot. I wonder if Warlick does the same. It makes everyone accountable. I'd like to see Warlick calling out Massengale for her weak-minded play.

They were very tough-minded. They didn't quit with 10 losses. I just want to see Holly get in a player face for not hustling or turning the ball over. She never talks to them when they come out.

That's a point that many fans overlook. When you go beyond the X's and O's and into the lessons off the court, it inspires players to want to pass on that spirit to the next generation of players.

How about Micki DeMoss and Shelly Sexton? Shelly is high school but Micki went as head coach at KY and also coached in WNBA.
