I think this will be a big breakout year for the young man. I've been a big fan since day one. IMO he does have NFL capabilities.

Hope he does have a great year. He's represented the University well and you never heard anything negative about him or anything bad come out of his mouth. The Croom family should be extremely proud.

Type of TE that would do very well in a few NFL systems, especially the way offenses are headed. Scouts will be paying attention, that's for sure

I have been hoping that Croom was moved to TE forever. Thought he could be a big asset at that position. I know that was always one of my first moves on the NCAA games on Playstation with him. Was always a stud for me and hoping he does the same this year for all of Volnation and himself.

I remember when a lot of guys around volnation were ripping him, He kept grinding and became a very capable tight-end. I hope he has a fantastic year

To reference someone else that had little (actually zero) experience at the tight end position: Antonio Gates. Gates was 6'4, 255 lbs, ran the 40 in 4.50 seconds (same as Croom), and had a vertical of 39 inches. Croom could jump just 31.5 inches, but that was also reported only when he was coming out of high school. I would wager he could vert at least 35inches now. Also, Gates played basketball in college so jumping was kind of his bag. Could definitely see Croom having a lot of success at the next level, if he can stay healthy.

To be fair Croom has always been jacked

That kid looks like Tarzan! I hope he's picked up the blocking schemes, techniques, and needed physicality on DE/LBs. If so, he becomes an "every down" TE and the D has to play him fair ... then watch out!

Nothing but respect for Jason and his family. I hope this turns out to be a breakout year for him and ends with him getting drafted. He deserves it.

I remember when people were saying he should be moved to TE as a freshmen. They got lambasted for it.

I hear there is a running back on the roster that's poised to be the next great TE. You get it all right here at VN.

I can't wait for the first time he catches a pass and then shocks everyone with his speed and athleticism. I think he's going to make some spectacular plays for us this season.

Would love to see him stay healthy and catch 25 or so balls this year and see him be drafted next year. Measurables are there, just need to see a full year of health and good production.

But it doesn't take a genius to see that a muscular 240 pound receiver who doesn't have the quicks to be a wideout should be at TE instead. Should have been a no-brainer.

Watching SEC network,

chick just said Croom will not play Thursday due to hip injury. Will be back against VT.

First I have heard of this.
