Coach Martin deserves

To be our coach. He has had one hell of a turn around at the end of the season. We hung in with the Gators in a close game and we beat the teams we was suppose to beat, plus were in a play in gm tonight. Let's get behind Coach Martin and our Vols tonight!

He doesn't deserve a damn thing. 2 All-SEC players and we get a play-in game. This great winning streak was against the sisters of the poor wake up.

Amazing what potential unemployment can do for someone's motivation.

Yeah, he is one helluva guy and coach.

No he doesn't, he has underachieved every season so far. Not to mention recruiting is fair to poor.

We could make the Sweet 16 and half of VN will still want to fire CCM.

Lets do that first then see. This team did what they were supposed to do for a third of the season and managed to make the play in game. If it was still a field of 64, we'd still not be a tourney team.

He will be giving one more year to fail. He has no chance to make it to the big dance next year, and then he will be let go. Win Win, no buyout and new coach.

If he coaches here next year, he will get an extension at the end of season, meaning he will still have a buyout.

We can't make the sweet 16 with Cuonzo here ! That is the point ! Hasn't anybody seen this guy try to coach over the last three years ? He doesn't have it and with Pearl back in the conference you can put another loss on the column for UT every year Cuonzo is here.

If he can only get into the playoff game with 2 All SEC starters in the worse SEC in 50-60 yrs. he will never do anything here.

We beat garbage teams and lost to Florida because he couldn't coach a second half. Dooley had supporters to the very end too... He is not going to do anything worth bragging about as long as he's here

When we kick DUKES azz Sunday, will that be enough or not.

An interesting side note that don't get mentioned much is Cuonzo may decide to leave on his own........especially now since Pearl is hired elsewhere.

No, he hasn't and no, it isn't.

He did not underachieve his first year, and he has recruited two 5 stars and a talented 2014 class.

The problem has been inconsistency and some coaching strategies in certain games. What's comical is people throw the kitchen sink at someone when they under perform. If we were a 6 seed, no one would say any of this about the past 2 years.

What about the other 32 teams that lost to Florida? They probably all need new coaches as well. Have you considered that a team with the 3rd best scoring defense in the nation might be pretty good at defense?

Like it or not ZO will be here at least 2 more years, he will get a pass next year.

I think that depends on how bad next year gets. If we finish at the bottom of the SEC and attendance plummets there will be a change. No coach in his 4th season with such a modest track record gets that kind of a pass at Tennessee.

If he is not fired after his next loss he will get an extension and probably a bigger buyout. So yes he will be here at least 2 more years.

Then again with a good run in the tourney he might get what he might consider a better offer and decide to leave.

If Martin's our coach for the next couple/fews years, a fabric company that makes large black curtains will be very happy.

Its underachieving due to inconsistency and bad coaching strategies...and poor in game coaching I might add

Never liked the word "deserved", you get what you worked for and earned. I think Cuonzo is getting what he has earned to this point.
