**GoVols247:
*We’re “much deeper” in terms of pure numbers. Those young guys still have to push and get themselves ready to play. We have some things to clean up. But feel like we’re a much deeper team than we were a year ago. On defense, you’ll see more rotation.
*Heupel: There’s a ton of positives at every position, and some things we have to work on, too.
*Heupel: There will be some young guys who play a bunch of minutes in Week One, and there will be some others who have to earn more of an opportunity as we go along.
*With the depth, the growth of our players individually, I think we’ll be better at applying pressure on the quarterback without having to bring pressures.
*Heupel: You’re going to find out a lot more about your young guys when the lights come on.
*Heupel on Bru McCoy: Our administration has done everything they possibly can throughout the process, and they’re still working as hard as they can. There are some things that are out of my control, Bru’s control and our administration’s control.

May USCw have a 2-10 season for being so spiteful toward McCoy. If he had drained their swimming pool, mopped the dining hall floor with mashed potatoes instead of soap and water, or served durian at home games, their spite would be justified. Only he never did these things.

There should be a policy in place requiring schools to submit transfer paperwork within a certain time frame. IMO

The best thing is made it through with no major injuries to our starters. When's the last time that happened? Hell I can't remember.

I refuse to believe we "made it through" without injuries until kickoff. We lost our starting QB in the mid 2000's because he broke a finger just taking a snap. We still have 2 weeks til kickoff!

I wonder if their coach is having anything to do with this. Didn’t he deny a player frm transferring when he was at OK?

I don’t know about anyone else but it’s so refreshing to hear Heupel discussing this team. I mean especially given the last 3 morans we have had. Hearing an actual head coach talk about the players is so refreshing. It’s good to hear about our depth situation.

The media has to love this man. He can lay it down as good as anyone. Quick clear responses to all questions, very well spoken.

Would it be possible for the staff to release the names/offices that are directly responsible for the hold up and what specifically is the reason/problem is for the delay? It smacks of the ubiquitous “THEM”

What did they say? Not a SC fan, never have been. Their lucky to be in SEC & not ACC. Never will win an East title. Just another chump to beat up on every year.

I agree. Good to hear him talking about depth. Staff doing a good job developing the talent we have. Heup underpaid, needs to be $8m range.

I seem to recall the same. Frankly, I don't have much regard for a coach who practices Kiffinism. He sneaked out of OU just as the Kif did.

Trust me, USCw isn't an SEC team. They might want to be, but they aren't, and I doubt they ever will be. Now, USCe on the other hand is cocky about being in the SEC. As for them winning an SEC east title, well, we haven't seen the full effects of the NIL yet. They may be trojaning trolling about an SEC title, but...,

Without major injuries. There is a difference between regular injuries and major injuries.
Come on WTH are you guys doing? I’m not an overly superstitious person but, it sounds like we are serving up open invitations…
Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth…
