One thing no one can debate is CJH at least doesn’t embarrass himself and the university like the prior 3 guys when talking to the media. We’re still in the wait and see mode but things are looking better atm, Go Vols

It’s the culture he is building… heup is real with players and lives what he preaches… the entire staff and team is bought in and players have fun and work extremely hard for one another because they truly love each other and want to be the best… they expect and believe they will win every game and operate at a high level… hendon mic’d up he kept yelling operate… he has a level of confidence and understanding that the offense will be improved in year 2… the defense has been competing hard and have more depth in all 3 levels and will be better on 3rd and long… the wins will take care of themselves when an entire program is 100% bought in.

My analogy is Clemson. They started w/ the offense/QB lineage (Boyd, Watson, Trevor, etc) and build the D around the offensive momentum. Seems with guys we're signing, if we can execute on D, we'll be on our way down this path. Not worried about JH teams scoring.

I like McElroy. Very knowledgeable and tells it like it is. His crimson bleeds through at times, but if I was talented enough to do what he does for a living I couldn’t contain my orange even that much.
CJH makes it very hard to take a wait and see approach to his hire.

Agree. JH not hard to get behind. Humble, likable and articulate. When he starts winning at high level consistently, and he will, all the bandwagon folks will jump on board

Any coach worth his salt knows footbal. The best coaches work their magic phycologically. Build a team based on trust and love for each other. This builds respect for coach and player alike. This creates winning which leads to recruiting better players. Trying to win with talent alone will not work.
I have seen Bama players interviewed who stated they wouldn’t do certain things because Sabin would not be happy. I think Tony, Barnes, and Heupel have the same philosophy.
