If he gets the job which is highly likely, look for at least one player to go with him.

Same old Barnes today. This loss is on him. He can have winning seasons and that is all he wants to do. He has the ability to underachieve and has just about everywhere he has been. He has always gotten out the door for another job just before being told to leave other than Texas which fired him before he could get another school lined up. Tennessee should have let him go to UCLA without requiring a buyout. The wheels came off this wagon in January and were never put back on. That's on him. He has a guard oriented team that doesn't shoot the ball well from the outside; gets too far into the shot clock and then either has to drive the lane where the opponent is waiting or hurry up a shot from the outside. No go-to player like Schofield/Williams were when the team really needed a bucket! Send him to George Mason, where he was for one year and give the job to English!

Barnes was about to be told to leave by GM, Providence, and Clemson? LOL

We all knew English would be gone sooner than later. Barnes might have 2 openings to fill. One would assume filling these openings would be the top priority. Wonder what guys Barnes would target? Hopefully, a young innovative offensive mind not to mention a great recruiter. I'll also be curious to see if this impacts our recruiting and efforts in the transfer portal. Really hope Barnes has his own "list" of names some claim good coaches keep at the ready to fill staff openings. Can't really afford a long, drawn out search IMO.

Not a bad gig. It’s a decent conference and a lot of those programs are pretty competitive. No program is really dominant because it’s been a consistent stepping stone to better jobs for good coaches
