Things I remember from his radio show:

Loved attitude of coaches and players yesterday.
Thinks loss of Hurd overall a good thing.
He loves Kelly.
Loved seeing so many younger players get playing time.
Glad that 9 freshman are red shirting.
Said Kongbo will be a star next year.
Said Richmond will be much improved next year.
Said Florida will lose to LSU.
Thinks VOLS win out and lose big again to Bama.
Thinks both Byrd and Jennings move to defense next year.
Won't be surprised if JG wins QB battle in Spring and QD transfers.

Love listening to his show. He said he wanted to take some calls at the beginning of the show but never ended up doing so. Made me wonder if anyone else was listening. Glad i wasnt alone.
I like the thought of moving those two to defense but jennings is making a huge difference on o right now. Do you think there is anyway he could play both ways?

I'd love to see them both move primarily to defense but still each play a couple of offensive series per game.
Doubt that happens, though.
You just don't see it much in big time football anymore.
Would expect the (hopefully, new) Off Coord and Shoop to fight over both of them in the Spring.

No way Jennings moves to defense next year.

Yeah, I didn't get that one either. Byrd or Jennings IMO. Those two are desperately needed on the offensive side.

He said that Jennings really isn't producing anything offensively and that he'd be better getting more defensive snaps. While I agree that he'd make a great safety, he's our second leading WR and the reason we're bowl eligible (Jones' primary goal) right now. I kinda scratched my head at that one.

Any show around here that doesn't take calls from ignorant hicks is a good show in my book. I cant listen to sports talk around here due to that reason.

Lol, Jennings and Byrd are not moving to D next year.

Go "Carl Pickens Mode" - play mostly on offense and when needed on defense.

Carl Pickens with the defensive MVP of the Cotton Bowl a few years ago - but played primarily on offense both in college and in the NFL.

I would love to see those guys moved to defense but I don't see that happening for two reasons:
1. Those two are starting WRs. I don't think we have anyone who can just replace them that easily. Granted, Brandon Johnson and Marquez Callaway have looked good, I just don't think they could replace those two.
2. I don't know if Jennings moves without being a stater right away. Safety is already a crowded position on the team with Kelly, Berry, Abernathy, Warrior, Griffin and a couple guys coming in next year. I just can't see Jennings moving there to become lost in the shuffle and losing some PT.

Jennings on defense. Is he not from a "coaching" family and a former QB?? ( I am not sure) With his altitude ( aggressive) and if the above is true he would be the defense QB and one hell of a free safety to my way of thinking.

I get that T. Byrd is needed on offense, but that #1 receiver (who's name is also Byrd lol) for TN Tech made Moseley his b**** all game long. 9 Rec, 121 yards. That's more than half their total offensive yards. Better corners would be nice, especially when we lose Sutton for good next year. Teams know they can hit the long ball on us without a problem, which sucks.

I could see Byrd possibly getting a look. Byrd said in interviews he wants to do whatever the team needs to win but he ultimately likes the defensive side of the ball better. Jennings wouldn't be a horrible corner due to his physicality but he would be a much better safety. I don't see it happening but could you imagine Jennings and Warrior crashing down on runners from the safety spots? Talk about a pair of tough safeties.

In his four years here, our DB coach has been able to develop one CB of any worth. Agree that Sutton is best in the business but that's 4 years with 1 gut to show. DB coach needed to be fired asap.

Bennie Jennings is our best receiver. No way in Hades they move him to D next year. Doesn't mean he won't get some reps on the other side of the ball.

CDM has been wanting JJ on defense since he committed. Dont think it will happen but I give CDM props for his determination.

Wouldn't it be awesome to see KELLY, WARRIOR, BERRY AND JENNINGS playing man D on pass plays! Holy smokey!!!!

Since Terry fair left, the DBs have regressed big time. I'd consider bringing him back now that he has some full time coaching experience under his belt.

Jennings seems to have that sense that gets him where is ball is going to be - not where it is necessarily supposed to be. That's good for a receiver - essential for someone defending against passes, and right now that instinct is in short supply on the defensive side of the team - too many pass defenders are either getting beat or acting like penalty magnets.

TTU had way too many receptions yesterday - even considering almost everybody got a chance to play.

Offense can choreograph plays; the defense has to figure out what the other guys are doing; smarter players need to be on defense.

Why the hell would you put those guys on defense? Jennings is a freak at WR and Byrd will be too
