Guy is a giant douche.

Ton of seniors graduating and knows his team will drop off next year.

Least favorite name I've heard floated so I predict they'll probably hire him.

I’m disappointed Gundy didn’t take the offer and I’d rather have Fisher or Sumlin but he’s better than Chad Morris imo.

i think we're living in a world of meh, and probably should get used to it.

he has made NCSU better. but he did just finish a year very similar to the year Butch had here in 2016. best team NCSU has had a long time, some real promise for the season, and they got a couple good wins, and stubbed their toe a lot more than what was expected.

solid coach. better than butch...probably. anything that would excite us...not really.

falls in the category of 'could do worse'.

Oh my God this is so Tennessee. Forgotten just how bad it is. This is us looking at a guy who is already a proven Butch clone with that record.

Would rather take a shot on Tee Martin or Mike Houston if we’re this desperate. Doeren is about to get fired from NC State, has a huge drop off coming next year. Took over the program from Tom O’Brien and hasn’t improved it at all.

I don’t think we should go for the perineal 7-5/8-4 coaches just yet.

Mind as well keep beating the bushes. At this point we kinda are committed. Shouldn’t call it off in a rush. We aren’t signing anyone during the early signing period at this point. It would be dumb to make that our imaginary dead line. Take our time. Keep digging.

Response over on the NC State site is pretty meh. Disappointed they may lose him because they want consistency, but not exactly heartbroken.

Apparently 6-2 in the ACC is the best they’ve done in a long while, and they say he’s a program builder (although a slow one.)

Major complaints are play calling and press conferences. One poster compared him to Butch Jones.
