I was in Hoover this past weekend to celebrate my grandmother’s birthday and happened to run into Frank Anderson at breakfast at our hotel yesterday morning. I was hesitant to bother him for a photo, but my 11-year-old niece told me “people do it to Taylor Swift all the time, and she doesn’t mind.” 😆 Since Frank and Taylor Swift are obviously so similar, I went for it (after he finished eating). I think he got a kick out of it, as did the guy with him, who thought it was so hilarious that someone wanted a photo with Frank that he took his own photo (hence why we’re looking at the wrong camera in this one). Totally made my day!

When I got him, Kirby, and Zander to sign a baseball he was like the value of that ball just when down when I put my name on it. I said Coach you are so wrong. He is such a great guy if you can get him talking. If you did not listen to our podcast with him, then you need to go back and listen.

I did listen! If I hadn't, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have tried to talk to him, because first impression is that he's not approachable. He seemed genuinely surprised that someone (a) recognized him; and (b) wanted a pic with him. Not gonna lie; I was geeking out a little. I hope he enjoyed it. 😆 Husband regretted not making the Hoover trip with me when I got home with my Frank story.

I think it's awesome that you had on a TN baseball shirt when you happened to meet him. Adds credibility to your fandom, or makes you seem like a baseball stalker. 😁
I'm with you; I couldn't decide whether it established me as a legit fan or made me look like I followed him there from Knoxville. 😆 Hopefully I'll still be able to attend games next year and won't be under a restraining order.
