I posted this in another thread, but the headline makes it worse than what it was. It seems clear to me that the officer escorting him is his team-assigned officer who was just protecting him. The officer was on the court with the team. Some random police officer isn't going to intervene on the court unless it gets physical. I certainly don't like Vandy, but it's not much of a story if you ask me.

It was during a timeout, so it's not like he was on the court during game action. I will also assume it wasn't because of one call- usually coaches get that upset when there is a pattern.

I agree with your overall premise, but he came within a hair of making contact at one point. I'm not so certain the SEC Office won't try and make it a bigger deal because of how close he came to contacting an official.

Actually the umpire made contact with him but they suspended him anyway. So should Stackhouse be suspended.
