To promote USF's spring game, coach Jim Leavitt "sprinted" 40 yards in 5.72 seconds before an April practice. Two days later, students ran 40-yard dashes in a combine before the spring game. Anyone who beat 5.72 seconds received T-shirts bearing the message, "I'm Faster Than Leavitt."

I thought this was pretty cool. CLK seems to be a runner so this is in his wheelhouse. Could you imagine Phil doing this?

HAHA It wouldn't be a bad idea! I think a lot of the students are excited about this year. I just hope that we don't disappoint them out on the field this year.

I bet Ol' Phil could still do a sub-6.0. He probably doesn't have much going for him distance-wise, but he can probably muster 40 yards.

but then rexy has to give Phil credit for something, instead of just letting him fade away. He can't do that. Not for the next decade at least.

let's be realistic, did you think someone as large as Phil was just going to fade away?

The only running CLK needs to do is all over his opponents on the field. The students will be there supporting, as well as the millions of fans worldwide. Neyland will be full, just bring the pain.

the majority of the fanbase has let him fade away. But a few, including yourself, just can't let him go.
More than a few. It's funny how most wanted him gone in the worst way and now that he's irrelevant they just can't stop referencing him.

some people just refuse to look ahead and get more enjoyment out of being negative than positive.

I sure am Bill. As a matter of fact I will be in the pulpit latter today preaching the gospel to a room full of people. you cant seem to separate a joke on a football message board with eternal salvation, I can however. It was a joke get over yourself.

i don't want to listen to any preacher that constantly belittles someone for his weight when the belittled has no chance to stand up for themselves. That's not an honorable or respectful thing to do by anyone.

On the original topic: I would smoke CLK so bad, I'd get a warm up suit AND a t shirt. Possibly a sports bottle drink coozy, as well.

eternal salvation is one thing, but living under Jesus' greatest commandment is another.
