CLK Is A Straight Shooter

Listen to what Eric Berry has/had to say about Fulmer and the recruiting process... Everytime it was asked he said Fulmer has kept every promise he made him (a chance to play early, break records, etc)....

It doesn't really matter what EB or anyone else has/had to say about Fulmer. He isn't our coach anymore and it is irrelevant. And anyway, who's to say the same things won't be said about CLK. Why would you sell him short at this point? It seems he has been working his a$$ of since the day he got here.

Im very impressed by everything he's accomplished so far in recruiting.

This is not HIS recruiting class. He got started very late in the game this year. This class is a combination or CPF and staff and what CLK and staff can get....

IMO, look out for next years recruiting class! It could be awesome

I'm OK with not calling this his 1st class but he is now responsible for it and at one time it was a top 10....it is now ranked 20th by Scout. Is 6th in SEC & 4th in SECE. So I do want him to be a strong finisher but I'm not going to be a "bird in the bush" or a "wait until next season" guy...the "NO EXCUSES" posters have harden me beyond that point.

I think we're just seeing the tip of the iceburg when it comes to our recruiting. Beginning next year when the staff has a whole recruiting season to work with, I think we are going to see top 5 classes consistently. I just hope we don't waste them like we have been doing for the last decade.:dance2:

I was simply responding to a previous thread which seemed to indicate that Fulmer was not a straight talker that told recruits "how it is" and that Kiffin does..

you're just bitter

I'm not bitter that Fulmer is no longer our coach or that he got fired. I'm bitter when people try to dismiss all the good that Fulmer has brought to UT....The ones that continue to bash Fulmer appear to be the real bitter ones..

Telling Boyd and Petty that he wasn't interested hurt those rankings a lot and it was totally voluntary. I think he could have kept at least one of them and still had a highly ranked class but that wasn't the most important thing to him right now. We'll see what he gets on signing day, and it may turn out alright. Whether it's a good class or bad I wouldn't judge him by how it ranks, but what he does with it.

As for Fulmer, it seems like only the guys like Berry and Manning who would have been stars anywhere are the ones saying he has kept all his promises. That said if Kiffin coaches long enough I doubt he'll keep all of his. BS is as big a part of this business as any other.

I'm curious to know why Herrera as such a bug up his butt about UT. I mean, the guy was a multi-year OL starter, was he not--and made it to the league. What's he bitter about--being moved from guard to tackle or vice versa?

I have a feeling CLK is going to do all he an to get EB to come back for his Senior Year....to help with Recruiting.

If I was coming here in 2010, I'd love to say I played with EB his Senior Year.

As I recall what were all those classes Fulmer had rated and what was the end result.....

I'm willing to bet CLK & Staff could take a class rated 50th and still come out a winner.

Believe you would lose that bet because no SEC HC can win without quality players but let's hope we never have a 50th and have to find out.
