He really has impressed me from what i've seen so far. I just hope that it will show on the field. I really think it will!

Nice!...He is saying the right things but not getting ahead of himself or giving us false hopes right off the bat...Going to take some time to get this wrecking machine rolling but it WILL get rolling...Be patient and enjoy the ride.

Football season 2009 cannot get here quick enough. I am excited, pumped, and ready to have Tennessee back on the national map again. Here's to some 90's Tennessee football!

Did anyone catch the part about we think we have some talented Q-backs now..plus we have had a few phone calls from other players at some universities... Maybe we were wrong about our QBs..I really wonder if it was a coaching thing.. It is hard to believe 3 highly recruited QBs could be so bad.. I could understand one, maybe even say a stretch and 2 would be bad.. But all 3???? Plus they were terrible not just bad.. It wouldn't be the 1st time I was wrong, but just hard to believe we could go 3 for 3 that bad especially in a major college program.

Awesome! I like his attitude about building the program. Of course he can't predict wins, he has yet to see the talent on the field. It sounds as if he will coach them UP and not down.

He talks like a realistic football coach, not a motivation speaking cheerleader. I like it.

And I LOVE how he talks about not being out-worked. The players, like Berry, who wanna be play makers will totally buy into that kind of example from their coaching staff.

I'm ready for the season to begin. He seemed confident and poised to take on the task before him.

Its the system more then the players!
Its like I posted earlier you want to see what a team can do with just a decent QB, but one that understands the offense look at the Titans! Vince is by far a better athlete but Collins has had the coaching and experience so he looks a lot better. Imagine being Crompton and understanding an offense for 2 years and then in 1 summer bring in a very complex offense and try and run it successful in less than a year! There was way to much confusion. I know Clawsen said wait until he gets the right people in play to make his offense work, well Kiffin will take what we got and make it work, that is the difference between a good coach and a bad coach.

I am in no way saying that I think Crompton is a good QB but I bet with a better offense and the right coaching that he looks a lot better than he did this year.
We all saw what the right coaching change can do for a QB when we saw Cutcliff turn Erik Ainge around.
But I believe that Coleman deserves a better shot than he has gotten. So hopefully Lane will see the size in Coleman and work with him on his reads and decision making.
