Why the huge difference?

Clemson - NC in 1981
Tennessee - NC in 1951 & 1998

Clemson - Cream of the ACC 15-20 years ago
Tennessee - Cream of the SEC 10-15 years ago

Clemson - Canned HC and OC in mid season and told to leave immediately - team revives a bit under interim HC
Tennessee - Reluctantly asks HC not to return next year, but stay on till end of season - team folds like overcooked noodles for homecoming vs. Wyoming.

Clemson - Several prospects interviewed according to public press.
Tennessee - No interviews, at least none we publically know of.

Clemson - Nobody has said "not intersted"
Tennessee - Nearly everyone has said "not interested"

Clemson = Kiffin or Tubberville = Who cares they suck

at least Fulmer's Dad wasn't the coach of an interconference rival who routinely whipped up on his son's team.

UT is a much better job than clemson. Better school, better conference, more tradition, more fans, better location, more money.... The list goes on and on. Clemson will probably have to hire some "up and comer" type, and pay some ridiculous amount of money with a huge buyout like bowden. UT can be more selective.

Tennessee has a larger stadium, larger fanbase, generates more revenue, and can pay more. That's the main difference. But the difference isn't huge I agree.

Everyone is starting to catch up to Tennessee. At one time Tennessee had a much larger stadium, and much larger revenue then most schools. Now the difference is much smaller.

If our guy is still coaching be real can they admit anything.And i would say if they interview anyone they won't tell us but the pipeline would find out.

We are Tennessee which is a better job than Clemson! But as far as more money yes but its smaller difference than some think. The IPTAY group for Clemson is the biggest money maker of its kind in the nation, it dwarfs our VASF
