Clemson is “sun-setting” its booster-funded NIL collective, 110 Society, as the athletic department is “leaning ‘heavily’ into facilitating” NIL deals for athletes via its in-house entity Clemson Ventures. Clemson AD Graham Neff admitted there have “been discussions about rebooting the Tigers’ collective operations” because new guidance from the College Sports Commission “relays those entities can still pay athletes NIL dollars if certain conditions are met.” Neff said that his focus “remains finding commercial deals for athletes, which will be funneled through Clemson Ventures and an in-house agency run by Everett Sports Marketing.” He said that the athletic department also “intends to leverage” its content platform, Clemson+, to “create more opportunities for student-athletes to earn NIL dollars.” Blau notes a CBA with athletes has been “floated by some administrators, including Tennessee AD Danny White.” While Neff was not “explicitly hopping on the CBA bandwagon, he did indicate the House settlement and revenue-sharing can’t be the last piece of the puzzle”
