Clean, Ole Fashioned Hate: Georgia Tech (7-4) vs #7 Georgia (9-2) (7:30PM ET, ABC)

Also not taking the 2 minute warning stoppage to review for targeting is wild to me.

If he were a receiver that had just caught the ball it probably would’ve been but they aren’t going to make that call for a runner at the los.

Personally my biggest thing is games like this happen. What happens to coaches that are decent underdogs just going for 2 to win or lose? That first OT I thought for sure Key would place it all there but instead kicked the xp. I mean I was so glad Billy Napier backed off going for 2 against us but if I had been in his position I definitely would have went for it and same with Key against Georgia. You are defeating the odds just getting it there close as the underdogs. Why not go for the k!ll$hot?

UGA would have still been down and needed to score points again with a minute to a minute and a half left (if not less).
The first PI call in the endzone was on 4th down on the drive UGA scored to make it 20-13. If that call isn’t made, it’s Tech ball up 14 with 8min left instead of up 7. That call literally picked them up off the mat.

We only saw 1 of GT’s 7 2 point conversion plays work. There’s a really good chance the game would have just been over in 1 OT had they gone for the 2 point conversion right from the get go.

I used to believe the refs were just incompetent and the game is moving so fast now they just miss calls.

But how did none of the refs on the field go, hey even if contact was made the pass was tipped at line so no PI. The only explanation is that the fix was in or they are on the take. No other explanation. Why no replay to overturn.

Their offensive line also looked to have been having trouble blocking those last 3 periods too; part of me thanks the offense was gassed.

I tried to watch this objectively, the refs sucked on both sides of the ball. UGA got away with some VERY fortunate calls, but there were quite a few atrocious holding non-calls in the GT backfield which was frustrating UGA. For the amount of rushing attempts on both sides of the ball, that was the least amount of holding calls/penalty yardage I’ve seen in quite a while that I can remember off the top of my head.

Kirby about lost his lunch screaming about that chop block that they were called for defensive holding on the chopped defender.

This sucks. Key has to be proud of his guys. He quite likely has that program on the rise. Really wanted to see Tech win this. Didn’t see the second half, so I will go back and watch that paying special attention to the officiating.

As usual, uga played dirty with cheap shots and late hits and got the critical bad calls.

Thats their culture. Kirby made as @$$ of himself as usual, too.

uga football in a nutshell. That is all.
