And in one year has coached the mighty Vols to a 114th place Offensive ranking.
I feel it coming..... Fulmer installed his secret offense.
Clawson's big mistake was not doing his research on CPF and the state of the program before signing the dotted line. His record indictes that it is usually in year 2 that progress is made with his system. No he hasn't worked out and maybe the Richmonds and UTCs of the world is were he belongs. My cousin is one of the best FB coaches in the state of TN. He went the college route and bombed. He came back to HS won 4 state titles and has since took over a struggling program and has had them in the hunt the last two years. Point being He is a HS coach...Clawson may just be a D2 guy but he had to give D1 a shot.
Clawson is a terrific coach, he built up Richmond and turned them into a NC contender.
And they still are with a new staff. His offense scored 1 (one, Uno, Un) td against Wyoming (almost 2 for). Remember when we'd put up 70 on em? I would have taken 1/3 of that.
What I've seen is an under coached set of WR's who can't get open, an O line that has no ability to block, even with his bizarre flip flop style, and an under used set of TE's that most coaches would love to have. Yes our QB's suck, but he's the QB coach right? Crompton couldn't hand the ball off, fumbled the snap, and was throwning passes to wr's ankles and that was in the first game.
