That's 30 players. I can see that very realistically happen.

But I do wonder if Butch would make a statement to high rated recruits this year. What I mean, is if we fill this class, and we get who we want, and they're VFL and talented, would he turn away a higher rated recruit?
I know some would say, "We're not in the position to turn away talent." Who said that we would be? I think every single player we have committed is talented. Just because we turned away a 5* CB because we have 3 4* CB's already doesn't mean we are turning away talent. We already have talent, and he didn't get on board quick enough.
I want UT to fill its class with guys who love UT, and are VFL's. I don't want our staff to beg and grovel with kids to come to UT. UT sells itself.
I genuinely hope to an extent that this happens:
1. Butch fills this class by December.
2. Butch has a killer season.
3. Butch gets some huge recruits who call saying, "We saw what you did on the field. We believe. We want to play for Tennessee."
4. Butch says, "Well boys, I appreciate that, but Tennessee hasn't changed since you visited last summer. If you really wanted to play for Tennessee, why didn't you back then? I'm sorry, but I've got my class, best of luck to you somewhere else."
5. High rated recruit then talks to reporter and says: "I tried to commit to Tennessee, but Coach Jones told me that they were already full, and he would not take my commitment."
6. Other recruits read that, and think to themselves: "Tennessee turned him away, even though he's a great player?!?"
7. Tennessee offers other recruits and they think to themselves, "Tennessee offered! I better act quick if I even think I want to play for them, or else, I'll be left in the cold."
All of a sudden, we've got 5* recruits seriously considering us very very early. The more exclusive you make something, the more desirable it becomes.
You may not agree, but this is how I would like to see University of Tennessee football become.
