Good post. Linebacker looks like the weakest link, though we clearly need help in other areas as well.

Nice Work:

- I have monitored the turnover myself, crippling to a program
- Corey Miller, Jacques Smith, and Eric Gordon have played like 2 Stars going into there Sr years
- Can we PLEASE get a stud LB in this class!

I think we take

QB-1 (maybe last spot to another QB)

RB- 2

WR- 5

TE- 2

OL- 4

DL- 4

LB- 3

DB-5

To fill out our needs.

It appears that the weakest link was coaches not able to develop all of that starred talent.

i agree totally with you thats a list of enought starters on off. and def. of 4stars and we still could not win. combo of sorry coaching and the stars don't always line up.

I'd like to see someone do a chart like this for the top tier SEC East programs right now (UGA, UF, etc) so that we can compare to attrition at those schools. My guess is that ours is worse, but many don't realize just how bad this is at every school. I know UF is like a player treadmill.

I'll also say that while this roster has some holes, it's a hell of a lot better than what Dooley inherited. Maybe someone can do that side by side (begging a bit here)?

Agree it's a lot better. Too bad Dooley & staff could not coach them up. What a waste.

Jahq a zz Smith and Corey Miller were both 5* recruits and have both underachieved GREATLY. Now if those guys ended up choosing Bama, OSU, ND, LSU, etcc...would they be playing like 5*'s? That is the key question here!

HONOR THY VOLS...CHERISH THEM...

Out of High school you are right, but I'm pretty sure he had to take the JUCO route for a while, and they docked hima a star.

Should have docked him more than one star. He got a deal. Never showed much here except at the chow hall.
